I don't know if I should disclose his forum username here but he has posted here before and is a hardcore fan.
I sold him my spare Sydney ticket on the last tour and met his girlfriend and was with them in the line and inside at the show.
On the morning news just now they did a story on it and showed footage of his girlfriend speaking to the media.
It is the same woman I met in Sydney as well (his girlfriend).
Very nice people and I am shocked, sickened, and saddened that this has occurred.
Let us all pray (even those non-religious) that he pulls through ok.

    Things like this make me loose hope in our race. The scary thing is it is generally the young unfrotunately committing this kind of unbelievable crimes.

    I tell you if people don't start learning respect for others it doesn't matter what happens on 12/12/12, we'll eventually fuck it up ourselves.

    I stood next to him at the front against the rail in Melbourne, he is a really nice guy. Eddie personally handed him a tamborine. Hope everything is OK for ya mate.

    Because that is how modern society in Australian cities is in this day and age.
    Especially my town Melbourne.
    You get attacked for no reason.
    Ice addicts and alcoholic thugs rule the street while gutless politicians and law makers do nothing.
    Cops are more concerned for catching drink drivers and speeding motorists.

    I read that in the paper today too. An awful story that hits even closer to home knowing he was a member of the club. Those boys deserve whatever punishment is coming to them (and I truly believe karma will catch up with them one day). My thoughts are with him and his family.

    my best wishes for a fast recovery for this guy. i don't get that, why some people show such a cruel and incomprehensible behavior.
    same or worse category of youth crime in munich, germany, a few months ago, where a young businessman has been beaten to death by two teenagers. he before interfered, when these teenagers attacked some school kids in the city train.
    seems to be the result of parents letting first-person shooters and television educate their kids.

    Won't happen in Australia with our weak legal system that cares more for the thugs than the victims.
    These teens will probably say they had a tough childhood, druggie parents bla bla bla and get a community services based order and no jail.
