If this had happens 50 years ago, the uproar would have been about the word "fucking" and no one would have given a darn tootin' about the use of the word "retarded".

Why isn't the word "moron" offensive? Morons are born that way too, you know! They can't help but be morons, but they can understand what the word means! What retarded person is capable of understanding what Rahm Emmanuel meant in the context that he said it? Apparently half of America can't understand it!!

What I find odd about Palin or should I say is retarded (meaning backward thinking) is she ACTUALLY wants Rham fired over this. FIRED over a word are you kidding and her constituents use the word unabashed and she doesn't care to call them out. If it hurt you that much lady well call out your friends too and especially IF you've never used it to call your own son.

    Be consistent lady, be consistent.

speaking of moron...did anyone catch her speech tonight?? i can't believe they gave her $100,000 for 43 minutes of THAT!! i listened to her piss and moan and offer no solutions that have not already been mentioned..and how many times did she mention reagan or say the word "patriot"???

she complained about the treatment of the underpants bomber when the government followed the policies of the bush administration...she wants tax cuts for small businesses but it is the gop that is blocking that...and she played the victim card by lashing out at those that talked about her family, well hello, if she had not shamelessly rolled them out onto the stage and held them up as the paragon of virtue and without flaw then none of that would have ever happened...

really sarah, if it was as easy as you say, things would have been perfect this time last year...

during the q &a someone asked her what the "palin plan" is and she said "support those that understand the foundation of our country and free marlet principles", and said "foreign policy should be based on reagan's beliefs, we win they lose"

first call that cspan took after the tea party convention finished said he thinks that she will be the 2012 candidate and no one else can do it...and he said the reagan is smiling right now...i'm pretty damn sure that reagan is puking right now...i just hope nancy didn't see that

i was watching 'the west wing' today and martin sheen's president bartlett was asked about his republican opponent 'governor ritchie' who was portrayed as a bush-like person and described him as...

    ". . . I think we might be talking about a .22 caliber mind in a .357 magnum world. . . ."

kinda sums up sarah to me

i agree with your post norm, but i do think she will be the candidate in '12. she is going to run and IMO, if that was not her ambition, why would she have said all that she said tonight??

I have not seen the speech but I hear it was pretty fucking scary. She cannot be the 2012 candidate for the GOP, she is a fucking moron.

If people can actually relate to this dipshit, America is in a bad place. Not having an ounce of an education is not something to be celebrated.

i've been saying this for a while now...if the gop nominates palin, obama can stay home and watch tv because the gop will die...i do think if this teabagger party actually takes off she will be their candidate and that will still help the democrats...and comedians ;)

btw, norm and cliffy taking politics??:lol:

Didn't say I was unconcerned. Just find it odd that when you compare the two (on this site) Sarah gets more attention then Gietner. Clearly I am more concerned about a tax cheat in Washington working for the treasury department than I am about about an ex Alaskan Gov. that writes books now and works for Fox news. So how come you care about Sarah cheating on taxes more than Gietner. Because i've brought Gietner up before and there wasn't much people had to say about it.

tax cheats are tax cheats. i despise both, yet geithner is not brainwashing an entire section of the population into voting for him, nor is he on a nationwide book tour to line his own pockets....to me palin's ambition for opportunism and personal gain is worse than geithner's...but that's just me...

exactly....the tea baggers are just GOP with extra caffeine...more power to them...they are just further splintering their own party

I thought it was really scary how Palin mentioned that it was time that we "turned everything over to our creator" or something similar....that's a scary way to run the country.

Damn you beat me to it, she even had a cross out mistake written on her hand. They would want to nominate her to run for president they're in trouble if that's the case. It's no wonder they had people the likes of Ted Nugent play at their teabagger party convention that hideous retch.

What a joke, its comical and scary that these people take her seriously. Its not even like she was talking policy and she couldn't remember, it was talking points.

Fuck this lady, she has the intelligence of a 12 year old and for the person here who wants the teabaggers to be taken seriously, maybe you shouldn't have someone with the intellignce of a high schooler as the keynote speaker of your FIRST convention.

I think some of ya'll are just jealous that conservative women are much prettier than liberal women. ;)

Nah, the fact that she is dumb as a fucking board outweighs the fact that she is marginally attractive.

    this chick fascinates me...

On Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel, she said his comments calling liberal groups "f-ing retards" was "indecent and insensitive" and cause for his dismissal.

But the former governor went to great and sometimes awkward lengths to insist that when conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh used the same exact term to describe the same exact group, it was simply in the role of political humorist.

"They are kooks, so I agree with Rush Limbaugh," she said, when read a quote of Limbaugh calling liberal groups "retards." "Rush Limbaugh was using satire ... . I didn't hear Rush Limbaugh calling a group of people whom he did not agree with 'f-ing retards,' and we did know that Rahm Emanuel, as has been reported, did say that. There is a big difference there."

    :lol::lol::lol:

"Energy", "Budget cuts" (then crossed out budget, rewrote "Tax cuts"), "Lift American Spirits"

She needs crib notes to answer the question, "What would you do as President?"

lol that is funny...she would have been better off is she just wrote those things on the big blue index cards that dave letterman uses and she could have read it and thrown it behind her with the glass breaking sound effects like dave so famously does

I have to say, of all the threads I've started, I wish this one would die. (but of course should go on if it must...)

Not because Palin doesn't deserve to be talked about, but because I absolutely the loathe the word "retard(ed)". I agree that Palin's full of hypocrisy, but I think she could do a whole lot better for her son, and just cease the whole war she has with certain people using it, based on their political party. (shows where her priorities are).

And that goes for both sides. What a bunch of disrespectable assholes we have elected to think it's OK to use that word. Grow the Hell up!!
