So, do you all remember the story of the guy who put an ad in a newspaper (or several newspapers around the country) asking for people to send him just one dollar? I can't remember the specifics, but I do recall that he ended up getting a ton of dough sent to him, and they very quickly made this practice illegal to post in newspapers. Maybe this is folklore, maybe I have some details wrong... but either way, it got me thinking...


I am hoping to build a bootleg collection both on DVD and CD. I have some shows, but not a whole lot. My goal is to build a decent collection -- and then use that collection to help others build theirs (by doing B&Ps and trades)


So, what I am asking is that anyone who would like to participate, please send me a show either on DVD or CD. If several people send just one, I imagine that within a short while, I will have enough to spread the love.

If you are interested in helping a fellow fan, please send me a PM and I will send you my address.

For those who scoff at "Jamily" in my name... 9 years ago, when my first daughter was born there were jokes about whether my priority would be my family or PJ. I smiled and quipped "I am a JamilyMan." What was a family joke became a hated term among jammers. Didn't see that one coming!

    Just go here and download some

    then go to any torrent search engine and look for some shows to download.

    That will give you decent start.

    no need to panhandle.

    This is more of an experiment than blatant panhandling (at least that is my spin on it :) )... curious to see what kind of response it yields. I know some will be turned off by it, and others will feel really good about being able to do a little deed that helps make someone else's day. Which ever camp people reside in, it's all good.

    Also, I am ashamed to say that I am not all that familiar with the whole torrent thing. I tried to do it once, but I couldn't get the chipmunk in the box to run fast enough to give my computer the energy it needed to download anything. Having said that, I will be hoping that this experiment yields some boots, and I can in turn share the wealth. (I can copy DVDs and CDs at work - just can't download anything).

    haha, and so far the real nasty sharks haven't even appeared. These guys have been tame compared to what I've seen on this board.

    I just gotta say wow, if this dude wanted "hand outs" he could just go to Given to Fly and get everything there. I've done, you've done it, people who are complaining have done it. I don't see why people are so mad.

    I am going to give this guy the benefit of the doubt and help him out. What he is doing seems much bigger of a project then just looking for "hand outs."
