TJJ76 wrote:Just wondering if it's possible if any fellow PJ fans could answer a few questions about last night. My partner and i are trying to get prepared for Tues night in Adelaide.
When you picked up your tickets how long was it before you were let in?
it's in the email from tenclub: 10C wristband collection: 2:00pm - 5:00pm at the Clarrie Grimmett Gates. After 5:00pm from the Victor Richardson Gates
Early entry: 4:45pm at the Clarrie Grimmett Gates, off Pennington Terrace.
Public doors: 5:00pm
When you were let in how long was it before the rest of the crowd came in?
again email as above, but it's 15 minutes
Did any of you guys that were let in earlier have any trouble getting to the front?
no they were all at the front
How did you find the crowd was it as full on as 95 and 98?
wasn't there but reports are it was pretty good
Does anyone have an estimate of how many TENclubbers were there?
couple hundred at a guess
Did you get your merchandise before or after the show?
some before some after, some things were sold out after, stubbie coolers and some other things i think
Also what time did the PJ get onstage.

My first PJ concert. Best show ever. I'm sorry Bruce, but PJ wins on this one. Great opener; Breakerfall. Didn't see that coming, but I loved the transition into Why Go and Corduroy. Some of my favorite songs were played; Grievance totally caught me off guard, and Red Mosquito with Ben was fucking mindblowing as usual. And how bout Lover Reign O'er Me? That version was totally perfect; Eddie was really pouring his heart out. I'm not really a fan of their big hits, but wow, the 2nd encore really blew me away!!!0

too late, you had to buy tix from ten club, but i don't see getting let in 15 minutes early as a massive advantage. people who didn't have ten club tix still got to the front.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

no one can really be sure, but the say there was over 100 at perth. you gotta assume the east coast states will attract a bit more, as i know a far few who didn't travel to perth but are doing the other shows, plus general population size being bigger.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -
, i never knew this forum was so big. fark. thanks for the heads up though.

i was told 600 10c at Perth.0 -
Awesome setlist. A good mix from different albums.
I just hope they do the same in Sydney.
The 2003 show was pretty much a live version of 'Riot Act', not that it was a shit gig but I would have preferred a bit more variety as i'm sure most people did.0 -

Hey everyone,
Last night was my second PJ show (first was subi oval in 06) and I was totally blown away again. I loved how diverse the setlist was compared to 06 and the fact that we got some rarely played songs. Love Reign over me was definitely a highlight, along with just breathe and Yellow Leadbitter.
Ben Harper was very good before that and I wish was that at the start of under pressure, they pretended to start singing "ice ice baby" just for a laugh as I know a few people around me were shouting the exact same thingDoes anyone know if the Ben Harper or Liam Finn's sets will be released online anywhere too? I can't wait for the PJ Perth bootleg to come out.
To everyone who has tickets for upcoming shows across Aus, you will not be disappointed. There will be no lip syncing, no silly pyros, just one hell of a great show
Thanks to everyone involved for one of the best gigs I have ever been to0 -
Just got home
Wish every day was Pearl Jam concert!! Interesting set list! It had all the usuals but i am starting to wonder if i am ever goona get to see light years live, pilate was a great surprise though. Thanks to Ten club for my first real up close experience! Now the Post Pearl Jam Depression sets in. I hope the wait is short!! fellas.........YOU ROCK!!

Awesome show.
Both Liam and Ben were great and worth turning up early for. Under Pressure was certainly a highlight.
Pearl Jam were on fire, like a good wine they are getting better with age. Very tight and loving performing. Breakerfall as an opener was a good surprise and the opening from there on in was rocking.
Main highlights for me were Garden, Love Reign, Amongst the Waves and Red Mosquito (oh and Yellow Ledbetter which is my favorite Pearl Jam song and I finally got it after four shows). Would have liked one or two less sing-a-longs swapped with a couple of rarities, however the crowd respond better to the popular songs so not too fussed. Thought we got a lot of the same songs from the 2006 show but I am not complaining (minus the Avocado songs which were substituted with Back Spacer songs).
Ed's talking was pretty good. Taking the piss out of Brittany early on and then the lip sinking joke in Betterman was funny.
The crowd was pretty good and well behaved. I was on Mike's side just behind Paul and his beach ball. Crowd energy was pretty good also but tended to die off a bit as the night wore on. I think standing for about 8 hours had something to do with it.
Was hoping for a Mike pick but didn't get one. The two Matt drumsticks made up for that though
Wish I was doing the rest of the Aussie and NZ shows. Looking forward to the reports. Can't wait until next tour.
Oh and for all questions about tickets/queuing etc. I got there at around 3:30pm and there were probably 100 ten club members already there. In the end I would have guessed about 500 ten club members all up. I would imagine this may be higher in the eastern states (Adelaide would be similar to Perth I am guessing). Ten club members filled only a tiny portion of the Fixer area.0 -

When you picked up your tickets how long was it before you were let in?
Arrived at 11 am - there were about 25 or so people there already....didn't pick up tix till just on 1pm...
When you were let in how long was it before the rest of the crowd came in?
WE were let in at a bit past 4:15, then it was not too long after us that the rest of the public was let in - crowd filled in fairly quickly, but not too quickly that we couldn't find a decent spot first
Did any of you guys that were let in earlier have any trouble getting to the front?
I didn't, there seemed to be enough room to let 10clubbers find where they wanted to be, BEFORE the rest of the public
How did you find the crowd was it as full on as 95 and 98?
Crowd was fairly well behaved - there were a couple of knobheads who were pushing and shoving early on, on our side (Stones'), but security were pretty good sorting them out
Does anyone have an estimate of how many TENclubbers were there?
I'd say between 500 and 700
Did you get your merchandise before or after the show?
BEFORE once we had our tix, we took turns in the line to go and get merch and stuff - those that were able to stash it somewhere did, and then other people held their spot in the line...it was all pretty amicable and friendly, nice atmosphere - someone had thought to bring music too
Also what time did the PJ get onstage.
Pretty close to 8 pm, but by then, there was no way you were getting to the front if you weren't already there
Any feedback would be grately appreciated.
Cheers0 -
What a great fucking start to the tour!!
Great setlist...band in awesome form and enjoying themselves more than ever.
Merch was supposed to be open at 1:30 but they were about an hour late setting up. Good selection of shirts plus they had West Coast eagles tour shirt so assume they will continue in all states. Just hope they do Port Power shirt in Adelaide and not the fucking Crows.
My GF & I were about row 3 but close to the T barrier. At the end of Alive (when Mike was shredding), Ed jumped on the barrier right in front of us. My GF felt him up a bit too much and I gave him a pat on the chest (he was drenched in sweat)....he had the biggest smile on his face just looking into the crowd. Hopefully someone posts a video on you tube of it....or better still, PJ should release a live DVD from this tour!!
Highlights for me were Corduroy, Garden, Elderly Woman (as always), Unthough Known, Save You (They ripped it to shreds), Throw your arms and of course Alive.
Whole show was great though....Cant wait for Adelaide on Tuesday....
Also, thanks to Kylie, Rob, Wozza, Brendan & Sairs for their awesome company.0 -
What can I say, absolutely amazing night, have been watching the youtube vids all day! Couldn't have asked for a better setlist (well maybe Once and Black would have been good too
) so stoked to hear Corduroy and Garden live. Liam and Ben were awesome too, wish I was going to the rest of the Aussie concerts! Hurry back boys!

You guys must have been right opposite us! Was your girlfriend the one who the security guard covered in water when she opened her mouth for a drink?! That was funny - he was a dick!...0 -
I started lining up about 3pm, and that was the line, just so people can get an idea.0
