  • Ahhhhh that feels GOOD! 1st of 5 aussie shows down and I'm off to a great start.

    Great Job Perth!!!

Big crowd into it early on a Saturday night.

    My Highlights:
    BREAKERFALL opens Rahhhhhhhhhh
    Corduroy....they're flying
Amongst the waves ....sooooo good live
    Pilate!!
    Unthought known....sooooo good live!
    GRIEVANCE Yeahhhhhhhh
    Eddie Nails Reign over me
    WHIPPING
Somewhere in here Paul ANDREWS (TC dude who organised a pre-show meet) holds his 12 year old son up after getting asked by Eddie how old he is (12, on the rail)....The kid is blessed with good musical taste for life CONGRATS young one !!!
    GTF & Betterman were terrific
    THEN...

During Alive Eddie runs down the race, the crowd break security walk though, and stops twice within an arms length of me....video rolling I am content for the rest of my 5 show journey! Magic what 17 years of musical passion can bring out in you.

YL does the trick and leaves the near capacity crowd walking out smiling.....ahhhhhh

THANKYOU PJ and WELCOME TO AUSTRALIA

See you in a few days Adelaide....

  • Awesome show!! I was down on the fence in front of the mixing desk on the right hand side. Eddies voice was the best I have ever heard him live and the band were firing on all cylinders. Wish I was going to all the other OZ shows.

How did you go getting to the front and did you have a chance to leave the front before Pj came on and return to that spot.
Also did you line up long before the early entry...............
Any info will help for my preperation for Adelaide......
Life long dream to be at the front
    I know I was born
    I know that I'll die
    The in between is mine

  • Incredible, awesome to see the guys having such a great time on stage. Mikes laps were great. This is the best I have seen PJ and making me want to find ways to get to some more shows this tour...
If it is anything like last night then the rest of you are in for a brilliant tour.

  • OMG!!! TRULY AWESOME SHOW!!!! This was fantastic,....the energy from the band was outstanding, they gave it their all, and the crowd responded - there were a couple of idiots behind us pushing and what not, but we were on the barricade, so at least had somthing to lean against.....Highlights for me def. include GARDEN, I AM MINE, GIVEN TO FLY, DO THE EVOLUTION............This was a fantastic night, and the boys should be proud, but so should Perth....Generally well behaved despite the beer and sun, and lots of people were looking out for others...the guy and his girlfriend behind us were really nice, and overally the whole thing WENT OFF!!!!!!! I so wish I was going to more shows!!!!!

Paul - that's so awesome about your stepson!!! I saw you lift him up, and I saw the look on his face- What a priceless moment!!!!! He will have that memory forever, and I'm sure it will set him off on a lifelong love of the band!!!! I saw you in the crowd and recognised you - wasn't sure if you recognised me, sorry we didn't get to meet at the Brissy -
BUt how AWESOME was the show!???????!!!!! I am still buzzing.......Unthought Known was fantastic, and I LOVED that they opened with Breakerfall....really set the mood for the whole night, and even with the lights on...they were still going strong, and I think Ed must have enjoyed being able to see the whole crowd rocking out with all the stadium lights on.....

Fantastic - THANK YOU SO MUCH PEARL JAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha! YAY! That show was insane!!! That's exactly where I was!!! Well, first I was kinda in the middle, but down the front, in that messed up swaying mosh... went down, had someone standing on my chest... thank god the guy next to me saw me go down and he held my arm the whole time and then about 12 arms pulled me up... I moved over the side, in front of Mike, after that. Stayed there, having all sorts of communication with Mike and got buckets of water thrown over me everytime I took a photo! LOL.

ETA - have fun :D Where are you seeing them?

Well, cameras and recording equipment were not allowed at all... I lied to the security guy patting me down and told them it was wallet shoved down the back of my jeans, lol. My friend had her recordable walkman down the leg of her jeans too. Hence, getting drenched with water whenever I dared lift my little point and shoot camera up.

LMAO, I still can't believe they went there! I think the only people at that show were Sydney-siders who drove down! Didn't you go to the Sydney shows in '95? I got as far as on the phone to Qantas to fly to Melbourne, but my friend chickened out on me.

Enjoy the shows... you guys are in for a treat... they're on FIRE!!!
