Oh don't come off like you're better than me cause ya aren't. I could dig up plenty of times where you called me names. So pull a chris reeves on your high horse and fuck off. I responded to the thread with my thoughts and I get questioned by some elitist fuck like yourself, such typical of this shit board.

I'm pissed at you cause you seem to have a problem with me putting night 4 last of the 3 concerts and all. It was a great concert but I wasn't expecting to hear the same yawner of solo like evenflow or black. God forbid they bust out a show like the vic. The europe bs is very elitist by europe fanboys and I'm tired of it. I am far from angry its just that I'm fed up the way the board has become being a board old timer like yourself.Ledbetterman10 wrote:metsfan wrote:Ledbetterman10 wrote:

Dude, first off, I'm sure I've never called you names. I've probably hated on you for being a Mets fan....but I'm sure I never called you any names.
And what's with the "elitist fuck" stuff? You're easily one of the angriest people on this board...as evidenced by your arguing with the "elitist fucks" in the Philly 4 fanview thread. And I know where you are coming from....it's lame for people who weren't even at the show to say that the crowds in Europe are better....but ya really need to chill.Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

Yep, PJ closed the old Chicago Stadium in 1994. I was there and there was no spectacle (other than cake in the face - I believe it was on or near Jeff's birthday). It was a longer show with some pre-release Vitalogy songs performed, but no marathon. It was my first PJ show and it was the Vs era and they were red hot on the "alternative scene" so tickets were very difficult to obtain, but we did. A couple days later was the New Regal Theatre show - that's another story.
Oh, and even though the OP asked that only people who attended all 4 shows give their opinion, folks who didn't are offering their views, which I find pretty funny.0 -

Yeah, that was the intention but I expected others to weigh in. Hopefully a few more who attended all 4 will post before this dies. In any event, although I would have loved seeing all 4 nights (those days are behind me now); I'm happy to see that the 1 show I did get to see was as special for others as it was for me. The reviews for all 4 shows were fantastic so everyone who got to see any of the shows was lucky. I was just curious to hear the opinion of the few who saw all 4.
On a side note, I notice my signature from my last post didn't post, so in case anyone cares, below are the other shows I've seen. I'd say the "vibe" from 10/30 was = or greater than 9/11/98 which was a watershed show because of the "Breath" rally and that was one of the last tours of unrestricted fan club tix (I think all MSG was 10c tix). Many great memories from all shows, but somehow this weekend rose above...
On a side note is there any discussions on how the Eagles/Giants game and the World Series seem to be playing more PJ songs (or similar non-royalty paying PJ sounding songs)?

I only attended nights 3 and 4, but my feelings were captured by merlin401 over in the 10/31 fanview. To paraphrase, night 4 was the greater PJ event, but night 3 was the greater PJ concert.

3 was best. you all know it.0

I was at all 4 and I would say 4
3
2
1.
3 did seem to have the best energy of all the shows however. 4 was the best in terms of the whole closing aspect(balloons, confetti) and length.
This week was just incredible.0 -
Based on my experience...
Night 4 (only by a hair) - it was the last show of the N.American tour. Last show for me in 2009. Last show in the spectrum. But after night 1 i thought there wouldnt be THAT many repeats. I thought theyd kill more albums than just 2. I thought they would have played a different song every night by THE WHO. I thought they would change their closers (RITFW, YL, BABA, my generation?) BUT the costumes were great, the stories that ed spoke of, the mom jokes and sweet lew were great! And 3.5 hours!
Night 3 (a close second) - crowd was great. i had the worst seats but the setlist made up for it. highlights were tremor christ, hold on, habit, deep and jeremy with strings.
Night 1 - there were 7 new songs for me! call me crazy, but i liked the backdrop. won the lottery. It was my first time hearing the strings. highlights LEASH, MANKIND, ATY, RIVAL
Night 2 - i forget why this is last.... maybe by default. this was the only show where they played at least one song from every album. highlights GARDEN and PUSH ME PULL ME
SEAT LOCATION
NIGHT1 - lottery SEC103 row 9
NIGHT2 - SEC214 row 13
NIGHT3 - livenation tix SEC303 row 6
NIGHT4 - SEC315 row 11Kitchener 9/11/05. Hamilton 9/13/05. Ottawa 9/16/05. Toronto 9/19/05. Toronto 9/5/06. Toronto 10/5/06. Chicago 17/5/06. WP Beach 6/11/08. Tampa 6/12/08. Toronto 8/21/09. Vancouver 9/25/09. The Spectrum x4.0 -
I want to say night three was better in terms of crowd and music played, buuuut... I sat front row center for night 4 so yea, that night was better
In July 2007 Densmore said that he would not rejoin The Doors unless it was fronted by Eddie Vedder. Densmore says, "I play with Jim. If there's someone of that level, OK. I'm not gonna join them with Ian. That's not to diss Ian, he's a good singer - but he's no Jim Morrison. Eddie Vedder? My God, there's a singer."0 -
No brainer! that would Night #4. In fact thats the only boot I plan on buying. Nights 1, 2, and 3 got their asses handed to them by Night 4! Hell yeah0
-
i dont think it is even close. Night 4 is way better0
-
i cant say which one is better, but everynight last week at the spectrum has been memorable night of my life.0

night 3.
light years, in hiding, parting ways, tremor christ, opening the 2nd encore with whipping = cat's meow.0 -
that's a great way to sum it up.Brain of JFK wrote:night 4 was the greater PJ event, but night 3 was the greater PJ concert.

Night 4 was insanely good. Night 3 was great too. Night 1 & 2 had some great energy all their own.
Nice overall complete package incredible body of work.
Night 4 Our seats were Mike's side near guitar techs first row and we were able to see the setlist before the shows started and needless to say it blew our minds knowing what might get played. And the fact that everything on it i think other than solder of love got played and black got added it was insane. Was nice knowing what was coming next it allowed me to sneak in a quick bathroom break at one point too. Suprisingly knowing the list is just a blue print for what the intended to play didn't ruin it at all. We all have seen them change the songs in an instant. good stuff and a proper send off to a loud venueSo many amazing shows! Thank you.0 -
Saturday was cool, but Friday was the best overall. Taking energy, setlist, length, and crowd into consideration. The energy in the building Friday exceeded any other night.0

I was at nights 2, 3 and 4. Night 2 was good, but not on par with 3 or 4. Night 3 was spectacular, as was 4. I can't really decide which night was better. They were both different. Both brilliant.0
