    I went cycling this evening on my mountain bike near the Potomac River. I had a plan of 25 minutes out 25 minutes in, beats sitting in traffic. Well 25 minutes out I ended up in Georgetown DC and on the way back started thinking of my lady missed my turn and I had no clue where I was when I came back to reality. It was now getting dark in a more secluded part of the Cresant Trail.

    I ended up riding for over a hour and half most with nervous tension trying to figure out where the hell I was. i'll attempt it again tomorrow but I'll make sure I won't miss that turn. Atleast I was able to burn a few more calories. :D

    I'm sitting on the front porch happily bundled up again and I hear
    the acorns falling like hail and my mind trails off
    the 2 little toeheads run ahead if me on the leaf covered wisconsin woods trail
    and there he sits on a moss covered log, not grayed but black curls and that twinkle in his eyes
    hes got something in his hands and then he puts it to his mouth
    a tiny little acorn pipe he has made- the little lid comes off- he shows the kids as they run off to find the perfect twig and acorn.
    We finish our walk all 4 of us with pipes in our mouths.
    I hear the plop again of an acorn on the car in the drive and I'm back
    and I realize I am crying- bittersweet tears for the very happy time and the memory I keep.

    I feel ridiculously successful since I was able to finally figure out the technology I need to use for the grading. It's so wrong to have to spend hours struggling with something that's supposed to be helpful!!! :? :geek:

    school tonight, and a lot of homework.

    quiz on chapter 3 due for human relations next Wednesday.
    3 papers due in English next tuesday.
