really? this is the only boot i've gotten so far and i thought it was pretty bad. it actually dropped my expectations for seeing them in philly at the end of the month. i was kinda hoping it was just an off night, but i thought it was a really sloppy performance. is it just me or does it seem like the band is rushing through all the songs. they played everything so damn fast. even songs like 'just breathe' were rushed. is this the fault of the drummer or the whole band? obviously they are all very capable musicians, do you think they are making a conscious effort to speed up the songs, or maybe the energy was just taking over and causing them to play fast? i don't know because i'm not a musician, but i would really like to hear them slow it down a bit.
i think they played 27 songs for the show and it didn't even hit the two hour mark.
additionally, the sound quality sucks on the bootlegs again. not quite as bad as 2008, but what happened to the quality of 2006? the boots sounded great that year, and the years before.

Toronto was such an awesome show with the "self-opener' and great energy.
However, the boot is completely butchered IMO. Sounds awful.0 -

toronto is there strongest performance but in terms of setlist idk0
-
Only boot Ive got so far is Chicago II, but man this is at the top of my list of boots for all time......0
-
The Toronto & Vancouver show's, so far released '09 Bootlegs, are pretty sweet!0
-
The Vancouver show is actually a fucking mess. Mistakes all over the place. Maybe the setlist is cool, and maybe it was cool in the audience, but...I prefer bootlegs where the whole band is on the same page.0

when i listen to the show i attended i get goosebumps
when i listen to other great live pj shows i get goosebumps

From those I've heard this year so far, San Francisco is the best mix and best performance. I've heard good things about Portland too but still waiting on my discs to arrive.
Both the Chicago shows are very disappointing, the performances are alright (I've heard them play better) but the mix is what really lets them down. Guitars too low, drums too high, bass all over the place.
Seattle II is much the same as the Chicago shows, though I think the band sound a bit better (and Ed's voice is in better form). Same mixing issues though.
Toronto is a mixed bag: the band are sloppy, Ed's voice is clearly not broken in yet, but it was still a fun listen. Not sure what to chalk that down to, but I liked it more than the previous three shows I mentioned.
Hope that helps.0 -
I listened to the O2 arena show here :

I've listened to probably 50 or so PJ bootlegs over the years, and the London O2 show is easily the best to me.
And not just because I was there either I hasten to add0 -
I agree. One of their best show ever.0
-
So we should get London, Seattle II and LA 3?0
