    They also played MSG twice in 2008. People should be happy with the past as well.

    ...but seriously, this isn't a thread about how PJ might play Philly in August 2010. NY is two states away, and MSG is also a venue that fans are more willing to travel to. Apples and Chiwawas.

    Live Nation is first and foremost a promoter. They will put shows in a TM venue as they have for years.

    The price of having multiple events in a venue become smaller after the first night because they don't have to pay the stagehands and loaders for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th load-in. Same with expenses for load-out. They're paying IATSE, IBEW, etc during the show but to play just one night would incur more per-day expenses than multiple nights.

    Izod (formerly Continental Airlines) Arena is so close you can see the NYC skyline from.

    Nassau Coliseum is about 30 miles east of NYC.

    Jones Beach Amphitheater (summer only) is also about 30 miles east of NYC.

    ...I think that's it as far as large venues that PJ is likely to play.

    i really hope they get to jones beach again one of these days. awesome venue in the summer time.

    just saw the thread and "made a few phone calls".......... i hate to say it but OP is not lieing....it is in the works ... but my "guy" doesnt know the dates....he said and i quote "3-4 shows MSG is in the works but im not sure of the exact dates yet...when i find out ill let you know "

    I hope you guys aren't fucking with us. I'll enjoy 2 Philly shows either way but I always miss the MSG shows even though I live in NY so the sooner the better.

    PM sent. If I get PM'd more info that's more than a loose rumor, I'll see what I can find out from my contact. I just can't imagine a booking almost a year in advance, when PJ has booked other shows there and canceled them several time just months before them. It just defies how things like this work, especially how PJ has booked there in the past.
