I'm not counting on this happening, but it would be great. I was bummed that I was gonna miss the Philly shows being out of the country for the next year, but I should be back home by next August, so 4 shows in the hometown would be a wonderful welcome back!

Good, I want to go to New York next summer anyway. Will just have to convince my g/f that 4 PJ shows at MSG elevate the experience of the city above all else...

I doubt that will happen, especially since the price was the same for all seating levels last year. But that would be kind of cool, easier access to tickets though and it's herd not heard..

    well if it happens great

where there is smoke there is fire

even if they release the hold, I will just take this to mean that they are planning east coast dates for 2010

and thats good news to me

Regardless of pjny12289's comment about TM/LN merger doesn't address what I said a page or two back. Live Nation produces tons of shows at MSG. To say "MSG is not a Live Nation venue" and that "MSG never has anything to do with Live Nation" is misleading.

Live Nation does not have exclusive rights to MSG, sure, but that's true of pretty much every arena, or at least the northeast arenas I've produced shows in. But Live Nation (formerly Clear Channel, formerly SFX, formerly Delsener/Slater Enterprises, formerly Ron Delsener Presents) is the promoter Pearl Jam has used at MSG exclusively. Ron Delsener is the chairman of Live Nation New York, and Ron has produced (to my knowledge) all of the major Pearl Jam shows in the NY/NJ area.

So, to the OP of this thread - yes, Pearl Jam uses Live Nation in the NY area.

yep this is how I looked at it too. it also i think provides us with some sort of timeline, i would have expected shows more towards the beginning of the summer like june, but now i think they wont be back to the east coast till later in the summer

Who said they had a hold?

And if they do make a hold and release it, they may come back in 2011 or 2012 (based on their own history of holds at MSG).

so sorry about the Mets Yosi,
but sadly the only reference Ed made to The Mets -
wasnt even mentioning the Mets by name- but rather Shea Stadium-
Ed commented that he knew there were big huge rats there, before they went into Rats.
However , as Im sure you already know ,
Ed started the Lets Go Rangers chant on both nights at The Garden on the recent tourstops there .

  • I'm not to hopeful for Euro Dates next year so this may be the excuse I need to go and see the Big Apple for the first time. I mean if they did four shows it would be hard to resist not going to see one! Best start saving :D

However, I don't remember the second Lets Go Rangers chant (and yes, I was there for both), I'm gonna have to go listen to that boot again.
