    Hi all,

    Raffles, auctions, face painting....as if there wasn't enough going on at these pre-parties already, we have a new challenge for you Philly folks :mrgreen:

    I've never been to a Philly tailgate, and I look forward to y'all teaching me how to do it up right ;) But there's one thing that happens at every tailgate...there's a TON of stuff that gets left behind in the parking lot. Coolers, folding chairs, unopened food, sealed water bottles.

    I've contacted the Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service & Education Center (http://www.pvmsec.org) and if we can gather up some of these leftover items to donate, they will distribute them among the population of homeless veterans that they serve. This way, the Philly tailgate will benefit not only our soldiers overseas with the Yellow Ribbon Club donations, but also those who have returned home and fallen on hard times.

    All we need is a few volunteers to help gather and transport the items to the Center. If anyone is interested, please PM me for details. Thanks!

    You are amazing. Thank you for doing this and adding this to our amazing ride all to help others in need. I will update the OP with some of these details. What a great cause and idea. Thank you so much

    Please keep checking back here. I have a feeling there's more incredible things to come from my two favorite Philly cheesesteaks and fearless leaders, elwayvedder and petrocs. A definite dynamic duo who are working their tukoses off to get these awesome items for these incredible charities.

    Hey Everyone,
    I just wanted to share with all of you the amazing feeling and experience that I experienced last night:

    Last night was the monthly Yellow Ribbon Club meeting. When the members finally digested what we are doing over the course of the 4 PJ Philly shows, their eyes sparkled and their jaws dropped. They are so excited, so full of hope. Many of them have sons or daughters overseas and they spend a lot of time being sad and worried. What we are doing gives them something to look forward to and gives them hope. So much so that now I have a list of 10-15 members who insist on showing up to some or all of our Pre Parties to help and meet you all and thank you for your support. They don't even have tix to the shows but are going to drive across the bridge into Philly to join us. Amazing.

    What an amazing feeling. Thank you for being a part of it with the cause we are driving at here.

    See you in less than 7 weeks!
