In American English, a "biscuit" is a small bread made with baking powder or baking soda as a leavening agent rather than yeast. This roughly corresponds to a "scone" in British English usage.

...can't believe I actually looked that up!

A fry up is definitely my fave breakfast. Basically what you said Ziggy, except the toast must be hot with butter melted in, and served with a decent cup of tea!
Yeah, how else would you serve toast? And make it an orange juice or stiff, spicy Bloody Mary for me.

My favourite breakfast is bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast and baked beans. Mmmmm.... 8-) I ate that for dinner on Saturday night actually....drunk....and we had croissants with it too! Midnight fry up!
I'll take bacon, eggs (fried or scrambled), hashbrowns, and wheat toast for breakfast all day long. But, baked beans for breakfast? That's goofy. Baked beans belong at cook outs, not next to my eggs.

I like my eggs poached....and runny!

Noooo......baked beans are GREAT at breakfast! At a cook out? That's just a bbq, yeah? You eat baked beans at bbqs? Now THAT'S fucking weird!

Mushrooms are the most vile disgusting food. Unless they are going to get me high, keep them the hell away from me.

Looks like you're wrong and I'm right again, animal! ;)

I make the best stuffed mushrooms --- bacon, onion, garlic, cream cheese stuffed into scooped out mushrooms and melted cheese on top! I've converted mushroom haters with these....okay, maybe not converted but they've eaten them and loved them. Look, tomorrow I'm coming to Tacoma and making these little bastards for you and we'll get really stoned and I'll cook them and you'll friggin LOVE them!

That's because it IS wrong! Clearly Ziggy is confused as to when baked beans should be eaten. :P

BBQ? If anyone knows what food should be eaten at a BBQ it's an Aussie............and baked beans and BBQs just don't mix!

So you eat baked beans with your barbecued steak, seafood and salad? Or do you have certain BBQ food the baked beans go with?

They go good with burgers and dogs off the grill, along with some potato salad or something. Sure, even a steak off the grill.

I wouldn't pair baked beans with seafood really. Definitely more of a red meat thing.

"off the grill"......it's a BBQ not a grill! And before someone says it, they're prawns not shrimp!

Do you put baked beans on your burger? Or to the side?

Animal, I hope you don't mind me asking you all these questions....I just find the differences between Australia and USA and other places interesting.

Well first off, you don't BBQ burgers or hot dogs or steaks. You grill them. You know, a NY steak takes about 5 or 6 minutes a side directly over high heat fire.

BBQing is done a lot slower, with indirect heat and a lot of smoke. You BBQ ribs, and a pork shoulder, and brisket. And other meat that you want to be so tender and fall-off-the-bone-soft.

"Put another shrimp on the barbie"

And no silly, we do not put baked beans on our burgers. They are a side dish, just like with your breakfast.

And it this all done on the same BBQ? We just BBQ everything -- if it's cookable it's BBQable.

Do you call them a grill or BBQ....or are they two different things there?

Do yours look like this: http://akamai.edeal.com/images/catalog9 ... 219617.jpg

I love putting bacon, eggs and baked beans on croissants. I reckon they'd taste great on a burger too!

I think i recall that breakfast was served when i went to school at some point. But yeah, it's a good idea for kids to get breakfast and lunch.
