I love me some white meat!! Lets not mince words. That was just in the deduction process, I would take red over white. But the pig, you know that's a magical animal. And turkey....are you kidding...I'm an American who looks forward to some Thanksgiving.

But the red meat....a perfectly marinaded New York strip, or a spencer rib eye, or a porterhouse, or even a damn t-bone...and the list goes on and on. Then you bring in the bison and lambs and venison, and whatnot. Red just wins overall in the red/white category.

ha ha My apologies, Animal! ;) I will never say that you don't like white meat EVER again! :D

I think i'd go white meat over red.....maybe. Pig....fuck I love pig. And lamb.....

Nah....I've changed my mind. I'm with you, Animal...red meat for sure.

Vegetarians are really going to hate this thread.

I think this is even better because your name is ANIMAL!!!!!!

I really don't think there's anything better than a perfectly cooked steak. unless that steak comes with potatoes....and those potatoes (w/ lots of butter) are sitting next to some delicious veggies...and that plate is followed by a wonderful dessert of some kind. oh, and a goood glass of pinot to top it off. hee hee

We didn't get served food in my school, we had to bring our own lunch in or apply for a lunch pass to let us down to the shop to buy ham and salad rolls. At least then you could go for a smoke :D

We call the potato gems here I think. You buy them frozen and cook them in the oven....or deep fry then....but I stay away from deep frying.

They look like scones crossed with muffins.

Do you eat them with gravy? Like a beefy gravy?

No, not brown gravy. They call it country gravy. It's a cream base gravy.

Ehh, a scone really is just a buttermilk biscuit with butter and jam inside. Maybe shaped in a triangle.

In American English, a "biscuit" is a small bread made with baking powder or baking soda as a leavening agent rather than yeast. This roughly corresponds to a "scone" in British English usage.

...can't believe I actually looked that up!

A fry up is definitely my fave breakfast. Basically what you said Ziggy, except the toast must be hot with butter melted in, and served with a decent cup of tea!

I'll take bacon, eggs (fried or scrambled), hashbrowns, and wheat toast for breakfast all day long. But, baked beans for breakfast? That's goofy. Baked beans belong at cook outs, not next to my eggs.
