    I've never had such a stressful day - been up for hours refreshing refreshing and ...............nothing!! Had two in basket and crashed so lost them!! It's Astoria all over again and I still haven't recovered from not getting tickets for that!! If people do end up with spares I'd be grateful if I could have a chance at them. Fingers crossed for the lottery but the way its going at the mo - not hopeful!!

    Nice one .... looks like that there are a few of us who may have a spare ..... it'll be great if those who are lucky can help out those who aren't.     It is with great regret that I find myself having to contact you this morning.

    Last week you announced a promotion involving Pearl jam. The idea of this being that if fans preordered tickets they would get an exclusive chance to buy tickets to their show on the 11th August. I stress an exclusive offer for presale customers only.

    I would also stress that you confirm this will available from 9am.

    Can you honestly imagine how disappointed I feel right now, after finding that not only did you release the sale shortly after 8.50am, but also that you released the sale to anyone who visits the HMV site. There was absolutely no need whatsoever for a presale code or link or anything to do with preordering Backspacer. Therefore anyone who wanted a ticket could stroll right onto the site and buy one. This is quicte frankly a shambles, and one of the reasons ebay.co.uk is already filling up with exorbitantly priced tickets.

    I organised my busy morning to make sure i was at my Pc for the start of the sale, to find that by 9am, the sale had sold out.

    Can you please explain why the sale started early without notice?

    and also

    Why was the sale not exclusive as promised to preorder customers, and made available to the general public?

    Your urgent attention would be gratefully received on this, because quite frankly I am appalled at how you conducted this sale, as from the state of the current Pearl jam official forum, are many many others who will now doubtlessly start to cancel their preorder.

    Just spoke to someone at HMV, after initially thinking I'd struck it lucky when asked me for my order number to confirm I was eligible for tickets, he then informed that they have indeed completely sold out. THERE ARE NO TICKETS LEFT. He did however say they are now in talks with the promoters to see if they can get anymore and, if they do, a 2nd email will be sent out.

    Nope he said he couldn't say, as they've only just started enquiring about the possibility of getting more. It sounds as though they won't send an email if they don't get any more. If I was you, I'd hang on as long as you can and just enter the lottery at the last minute if HMV haven't emailed again.

    Possibly, but in fairness to the guy he was actually very apologetic and helpful, and sounded certain in what he was saying. I tried all my normal tricks of persuasion but he wouldn't budge... let's just hope they do get a 2nd batch.

    doesnt make sense, HMV are conducting the general sale on thurs too...so they have the tickets to sell....sounds like bullshit to me
