    FFFFUUUUU-
Of course I have no money at the moment. Looks like I'm going to get screwed with how fast tickets go around here.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

    exactly.
ed also said that someone was expecting a baby next year....and this was back in january? so if that indeed was/is the reason...ed apparently can't add....or someone has a 12+ month pregnancy. ;)

I dunno but in my opinion you don't leave your wife and newborn for a tour... It gave me the impression they all had decided not to tour next year because this person wanted to spend time with their family.

I think that one of the dates should have a special presale for 10c members who's billing address is within a 50 mile radius of center city philadelphia

Why? It didn't happen with the Vic show and that was a tiny show and I know some people from Chicago didn't get tickets. They also didn't do it with the fan club only show in Boston in 2004. There's rumored to be 3 shows, I think its safe to say that you'll get a ticket for at least 1 night. Especially if they do the submit your information and your card will be charged if you're picked.

Why? Because he would be included in that radius, so it benefits him. Every time something that is somewhat one-off or special goes down, a few people suggest this. Thankfully, the 10C usually ignores them.

I don't really think they ignore them, i think it requires way too much foresight and planning for the ten club to pull off such a feat. I think it would be great if they gave locals first dibs on tickets and then let the rest have at it. I suppose there is a first time for everything.

i get that and agree, overall.
however, given the timing....do you honestly believe pearl jam will put out a new album and NOT do a world tour? i am not saying they will do a tour on the scale of say 2003, but i do imagine they WILL do more touring in 2010. and if i am wrong, i am wrong.....wasn't saying i was definitive...only offered my personal perspective. i just don't imagine pj NOT touring, at all, in 2010. they've done shows EVERY year since 2003.....and they will have a new album to promote, plus the build-up to their 20th anniversary....so yea...i personally believe there will be some shows in 2010. that's all.

btw - as i said, ed made that comment in january. * so how can ed know someone is having a baby "next year" in january?! so that would mean the baby would be born say september/october? and yet, they ARE doing some shows in august and october, yes? so my point was.....either ed can't add or just made an offhand comment or someone is having a long pregnancy ;), b/c you bet...i do not believe anyone in the band would not be around for their kid's birth, and would want to be around the first few months. do remember, ed, mike and stone all have had children these past few years....and guess what? pearl jam has had shows each of those years. so yes, it Is possible to be around for your newborn AND to fit in some shows, if you want to.

Just as the guys have family/personal stuff, so do most of their older fans like kids in school for one making road shows in October nearly impossible. Enjoy those who get shows and can make it. Still clinging to a thread of hope we ALL get a big surprise!

    really? :?
    i never would've guessed....

there are also many ways to do a tour.
bottomline, you and i disagree...so what?
neither one of us KNOW, or will know, until next year.......i for one hope you are wrong and i am right. and even if no tour....i hope for a few shows i can manage, a mini-tour, or whatever label you want to put on it....just hope there's some live pj on the 2010 horizon, and i personally believe there will be. you don't, fair enough. however, your opinion is no more right or valid than any other and that's all any of us were discussing, none of us were saying we were in the know or right.....didn't post that what someone else suggested was "wrong, wrong, wrong." :P

anyhoo....on topic....i can't wait to hear about the shows for 2009!

I believe the idea probably comes from when they did the eligibility for the 2006 Letterman Webcast where I believe only NJ/NY/CT residents were eligible. I could be mistaken..
