Saw A.I.C. open for Van Halen in Jan 1992 at the Tacoma Dome, tix were $22.50. Also at The Evergreen State College in Olympia with Gruntruck tix were $12.50, met Jerry after the show, and at Lollapalooza 93 in Portland.
Saw Nirvana Jan 7th 1994 in Seattle, Grandmother gave me the money for the ticket that was $19 dollars plus TM fees.
Saw Soundgarden in May 1994 at Kitsap County Fairgrounds and saw Tool/Candlebox show the day before at the same venue. Layne sang with Tool that night.Let's see those 2013 dates in the southern states.0 -

Wow, now that I think of it, I did. Not Nirvana...I had the chance to, but didn't really like them much back then (still don't think they're all that stellar, but kind of wish I'd have seen them).
I saw PJ in '93 shortly after Vs. came out. First show. They were at their height of popularity, all their shows sold out immediately. The ticket was $18 with a $2 service charge (or maybe $1.80? their 10% thing)
I almost forgot about it, but I also saw AIC when they opened for Ozzy. No More Tours tour (yeah right), fall of 1992. Height of grunge, and AIC was busting out huge after Dirt had come out. I don't remember much about it, other than I had a 4th row seat, Sepultura played before AIC, AIC was 2nd. The crowd was into them. I hadn't heard much of them, but remember Would was pretty awesome.ABQ 93, Las Cruces 95, ABQ 98, Bridge School 10/30/99, Lubbock 00, ABQ 00, Denver 03, State College 03, San Diego 03, Vegas 03, PHX 03, D.C. 03, Camden 7/5/03, NYC 7/8/03 + 7/9/03, Vegas 06, San Francisco 7/15/06 + 7/16/06 + 7/18/06, Kansas City 10, [EV:ABQ 11/6/12], Chicago 13, PHX 13, Denver 14--PJ24!, Telluride 16, Chicago 8/20/16, Chicago 8/18/18, Phoenix 22, Denver 22, Vegas 5/16/24

Ha ha, was that the Metallica Summer Shit tour? I wanna say '94? I think I remember that. I saw that tour and Fight, Suicidal Tendencies, and Candlebox all opened for them. I can't believe they let Candelbox go last before Metallica. I forgot AIC was supposed to be on that tour. I actually saw Candlebox twice (can't stand 'em), saw them once about 6 months earlier than that opening for Rush. They tried to be so much tougher opening for Metallica. Like saying "fuckin'" every other word between songs. They didn't try any of that on the Rush crowd.ABQ 93, Las Cruces 95, ABQ 98, Bridge School 10/30/99, Lubbock 00, ABQ 00, Denver 03, State College 03, San Diego 03, Vegas 03, PHX 03, D.C. 03, Camden 7/5/03, NYC 7/8/03 + 7/9/03, Vegas 06, San Francisco 7/15/06 + 7/16/06 + 7/18/06, Kansas City 10, [EV:ABQ 11/6/12], Chicago 13, PHX 13, Denver 14--PJ24!, Telluride 16, Chicago 8/20/16, Chicago 8/18/18, Phoenix 22, Denver 22, Vegas 5/16/24

Saw Nirvana in Boise on Dec. 15, 1993. My first concert. Great setlist and awesome show. They put chairs on the floor and everybody pushed them up to the front and there was a big pile in front of the stage. Security was getting pissed and Kurt said, "Remember there are more of you than there are of them." Ended with crazy version of "Endless, Nameless."SLC 11/2/95, Park City 6/21/98, Boise 11/3/00, Seattle 12/9/02, Vancouver 5/30/03, Gorge 9/1/05, Vancouver 9/2/05, Gorge 7/22/06, Gorge 7/23/06, Camden I 6/19/08, MSG I 6/24/08, MSG II 6/25/08, Hartford 6/27/08, Mansfield II 6/30/08; Eddie Albany 6/8/09, 6/9/09; Philly 10/30/09, 10/31/09; Boston 5/17/10

Not having experienced 1992/1993 pearl jam is something that bothers me alot. Its an opportunity long gone and having seen them xx amount of times since 2000 hasn't helped much.. Dont get me wrong, I have had tremendous joy seing pj in the later days, but there is just something about the energy back then that I would have loved to experience. No matter how many times I see then in the future will not change that. damn...I will swallow poison0

Nirvana - 1992, Pink's Garage, Honolulu, last show on their tour, such a small venue, amazing show
PJ - 1992, Andrew's Amphitheater, U of Hawaii campus, right across the street from my dorm room. Went to both shows, caught part of Ed when he stage dived from the scaffolding that held the lights. Then flew to Maui for show #3 in a high school gym in Lahaina, I would guess only a few hundred people.
AIC - 1993, Aloha Tower, great show, same place where in 1991 I saw Jane's Addiction's "last show" and Perry played half the show naked
Soundgarden - 1997, Blaisdell Center, Honolulu, another "last show", band seemed pissed off most of the night. At some point Ben walks off the stage, Chris comes out for encore by himself, plays acoustic, and I caught his guitar pick after his last note played as Soundgarden
Ah, those were the days9/25/92, 9/26/92, 9/27/92, 2/20/97, 2/21/97, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 12/2/06, 12/9/060 -

I saw Nirvana in 1993, but didn't see Pearl Jam until 1994.
Unfortunately, i never got to see Alice In Chains. There was a rumor that they were going to show up at Woodstock 94, but it didn't happen.3-29-94-FL/9-24-96-MD/9-18-98-MD/9-05-00-PA/4-26-03-PA/5-03-03-PA/7-12-03-PA/10-1-04-PA/9-19-05-ON/9-28-05-PA/5-09-06-ON/5-10-06-ON/6-23-06-PA/6-19-08-NJ/10-28-09-PA/5-20-10-NY/5-21-10-NY/9-11-11-ON/9-12-11-ON/9-2-12-PA/9-22-12-GA/10-11-13-PA/10-18-13-NY/10-19-13-NY/10-16-14-MI/9-26-15-NY/4-9-16-FL/4-11-16-FL/8-8-18-WA/8-10-18-WA0 -
My first Pearl Jam show was October 31,1993 at the Greek Theater, in the hills of Berkeley,California. It is a wonderful place to see a show. It is outdoors and carved into a hill, with the stage set at the lowest part, and seating set up along the hill and if you walk around the top of the venue, you can see San Francisco and the Golden Gate off into the distant horizon. I went to the show with my Sister and my then 13 year old Daughter. We were so excited to see Pearl Jam!!! While the Henry Rollins band was playing,my Daughter and I, went up to the top of the venue and stood and watched the flow of the mosh pit, marveling at the rolling, crazy energy down below. As we turned to walk back to our seats, this guy who had these girls hounding him walked right into my Daughter, hitting her kind of hard...it was Dave Abbruzzi! He felt really bad about this and was very kind to her making sure that she was ok. He was a nice really caring guy; just like I had this feeling that the guys of Pearl Jam were (and still are today) My daughter was completly excited that this had happen to her and has a good story of a moment in her life to remember. Pearl Jam played a most wonderful show that day. I have seen them 32 times since, each time a magical, memoriable day. I feel so glad that they have been a part of my life! Thank You Pearl Jam!!!0

In 1993 I saw AIC and RHCP on the same night in Brazil. People were there for Chilies, so me and my friend were the only ones jumping and singing for Alice...Chili came onstage with flames on their heads, naked with socks or their cocks...amazing concerts.
Next night Nirvana played but i did't like em that much....sat on my friends house roof, which was close to the stadium and listened to it having some illegal beers (I was 15 then) and smart cigarettes!
By the way, just saw AIC here in Sydney on a small venue....that William guy is good! Never Layne...but good.Post edited by [Deleted User] on0
