    Gracie is worn out from "stalking" her elusive tennis ball. She gets her butt in the air and then pounces. Like a jungle cat. :D It's damn funny and is often accompanied by grunts and barks.

    She also tried to eat a pebble this morning. :p

    Meanwhile, it's day 5 of my "hostage crisis" :D Gracie may look mellow in all the pics I've posted but she's running me ragged. She was absolutely on springs this morning, pouncing and barking at her toys. She's tearing around the back yard (when she's supposed to be pottying) and still trying to eat rocks. Man, I'm too old for this!

    And here's a little mental picture for you.... I'm walking barefoot thru the house and I step in a turd....my first thought - WTF?.... Gracie is there to investigate, so I scoop her up and hop on one foot (the non-shitty one) to the kitchen. I put Gracie on the counter and then get my foot in the sink. I get the foot cleaned up and then go back for the turd. OMG, I need a break!!!

    Anyway, here's a few of her (not pooping!) :p

    i know what you mean about those first days with the new puppy....although norm was 8 months old when i got him, he was a very independent dog so it was difficult to wrangle him....i loved those early days but i don't want to go through them any time soon ;):D

    I LOOOOOOOVE doggies with crossed paws! My two don't do it nearly enough - and when you call attention to it ("Get the Camera!") the uncross and act embarrassed....

    Uhmmmm...and wait until Gracie starts eating her own poop! That'll really make your day! I have a solution to that, though...

    Dogs hate mouthwash (like Scope)...when our Remy was a puppy (it was her ninth birthday yesterday!) and she ate poop, as a last resort, I stuffed a paper towel soaked in scope in her mouth and then held her muzzle shut for about 30 seconds...it may sound mean, but it worked - and she wasn't harmed. She just runs away when she sees paper towel, though! ;)
