I'm worried that when Obama becomes Pres (yes, he's going to slaughter McCain), we will get attacked again. :(

    I obviously hope not though.

no problem. im just jealous. i remember being so idealistic in college. now im just a cynic. dont let them get you too ;)

i dont believe it's possible to ever get everyone to do anything. so a no-work day just isnt going to fly. people got bills to pay and the fear of losing a job is very real.

    This is the end
    Beautiful friend
    This is the end
    My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
Ill never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
    So limitless and free
    Desperately in need...of some...strangers hand
    In a...desperate land

Lost in a roman...wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
    All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah

Theres danger on the edge of town
    Ride the kings highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
    Ride the highway west, baby

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...hes old, and his skin is cold

    The west is the best
    The west is the best
Get here, and well do the rest

The blue bus is callin us
The blue bus is callin us
    Driver, where you taken us

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
    Mother...i want to...fuck you

Cmon baby, take a chance with us
Cmon baby, take a chance with us
Cmon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
    Doin a blue rock
    On a blue bus
    Doin a blue rock
    Cmon, yeah

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill

    This is the end
    Beautiful friend
    This is the end
    My only friend, the end

It hurts to set you free
    But youll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die

    This is the end

Well, good question. No, it's not necessarily too logical.

I believe al Queda does not care what political party we have in power and will try to prove that.

Bottom line: I think we have little defense against terrorism. That worries me. On top of that, everyone thought that after 9/11 we'd be struck again. But, that's not how terrorists work. They take their time and plan things out years/even decades in advance. I think we will be struck again and it's been planned out for some time. This would make for a logical time to do so. History repeats.

    Honestly I am scared.
Floods, Huge fires, Global warming, food costs, Oil running out, everyone is at War. It goes on and on and on. This life on earth is really coming to an end sooner then you think. Its easy to ignore it and get all caught up in our own little lives but it really is a huge deal and I for one am scared for my wife and kids. If I was single, then it wouldnot be so bad but to have so much love and worry for other people now....man its scary.

You do not need to believe in religon to know that something is happening that is a big fucking deal and very real.
Meaning that this is all spelled out in the Bible whether you believe or not, it all seems to be happening like it said.

while i think all these things are serious and important, i doubt the end of the world is anytime soon. ALL of these things have existed as problems since humans first started roaming the earth. such is the cycle of life.

however, this is not to discount the effect we have on this world, like a free pass...we absolutely SHOULD be better stewards of this planet, it's inhabitants...each other.

to me the global warming thing is really freaky,
I was just talking about this with people from work,
it doesn't get as cold in the winter as it used
and it certainly doesn't snow as much

and someone I work with said he needed a winter coat on a visit to Jamaica (the island) last year!

I mean, it's weird. It doesn't seem right. If you have read the entire Bible and the parts about the plagues, it makes you wonder

What you said about your wife and your kids is esp. poignant to me.

I hope the world isn't coming to an end any time soon though, I'm not done yet! I want to have children.

Fox Mulder said the aliens are coming in 2012 though :P j/k

Like a book amongst the many on a shelf....

I however noticed there has been a exponential increase in the number of natural disasters this past year correleted directly to the climate changes of Earth which can not be stopped even if everyone on the planet tries to do their part. The entire North American polar ice cap is predicted to break apart this year for dog's sake!
