That's very true, but unless one of the freighter people becomes resident technology geek on the island - Sayid is the go to man whenever something has to be done with electronics. Plus he often leads their spy and recon missions.

In my opinion, Sayid lasts for a long time.

The only person on the island who really doesn't have a role in my opinion is Claire. True, Jack and her don't know they are related, but other than that what does she have going on show currently with Charlie no longer there.

She's had even fewer flashbacks than Sayid.

    Just tossing it out there.

Umm.. she HAD to have the baby on the island. She has a very important connection to the island, or at the least her baby does. Charlie or no Charlie, Claire is most likely crucial to future events on the island.

Are we only getting a new show tonight? I was hoping that last week's episode might air again prior to the new one.

ABC is rerunning last week's episode before the new one.

Plus the psychic in the first season was adamant that she take flight 815.

maybe if jack saw locke resurrect again he would've been a believer!

I bet if Jack was paralyzed and lands on the island able to walk he would be more of a "man of faith". Who can blame Locke for wanting to stay on the island?

That's actually a really good point! Plus, I think that Locke has the personality that WANTS to believe (like when his dad conned him).

yup. Locke has never had a connection to anything.. never had family.. everythinig he ever connected too ended up going to shit. so something has happened.. he has connected in such a postive way.. he will do anything to protect his island now...

to be that far down and still be able to believe is the true miracle. its why i adore locke..

I'm interested in seeing Rebecca Mader tonight. I really liked her character in Justice. Yes, I was one of the only like 5 people in this country who watched that show, but I really liked it. ;)

I think these four characters will be alot more than just 4 people who happened to be on a freighter right now... each one will be there for a reason. Plus a name like Faraday can't be coincidence...

    i found this on stereogum...

    http://www.myspace.com/previouslyonlostmusic

The worst -- but funniest -- way to catch up with each week's bygone LOST chapter. 'Previously On LOST' will write, record, and post to MySpace a song after each episode, offering a recap and handy reminder of the madness that went down. The first song's called "We're Going Home." Kitschy, but cute (and a fun link to forward to similarly LOST-minded souls). Plus it's really fun to sing along to! C'mon, everybody: "We are the Oceanic Six ... we are the Oceanic Six ... I think I'm gonna grow a beard..."

I don't get it. Am I missing something? What's the deal with "Faraday"??

    * Michael Faraday (September 22, 1791 – August 25, 1867) was an English physicist who researched electromagnetism. Michael Faraday's discoveries led to the development of Faraday cages, an enclosure used to block outside radio and electromagnetic waves. James Clerk Maxwell took the work of Faraday, and others, and consolidated it with a set of equations that form the basis of modern theories of electromagnetic phenomena.

    * His name first appeared as the season 4 clue word for chapter 2 of the Find 815 alternate reality game.

    * During casting this character was named Russell. "Russell Faraday" is the alias given to the main character at the end of Stephen King's The Stand.

Through many of King's books there is a character with the initials are RF. Randall Flagg is the one used most of the time.
