Cause usually I AM the parent of those kids, running up and down the aisle...do you know how hard it is to shop with kids????
If someone tripped up my kids at the shops, I would probably kick them in the balls/tits, whichever applies
Well then control your kids..........0 -

Do people forget being a kid, getting in trouble? Do they forget how much fun it was to run up and down the supermarket aisles and climb all over em and hide?
nope cause my parents did their job and kept me in check..........0 -
A little kid running around and yelling and goofing off in a grocery store is "enraging"? You have to be kidding. That must be a joke. If a kid being a kid is "enraging", I recommend you get some help, because that is nowhere near normal. Annoying, maybe to some with no heart, but "enraging"?
Now, if an adult who knew better was running around and being stupid, or even a teenager (like the Jackass guys for example), I can understand being maybe annoyed, but not "enraged". But a little kid? Thats just fucked up.
The last time I got "enraged" over anything was when a drunk scumbag jerkoff spit at my wife (lucky for him he missed or I would be typing this from prison). All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.0 -

Exactly, children shoud be bound and gagged and tossed in a cellar for about 18 years and then released into the wild.
I kid, Kosmic. I'm sure you are a great parent.Idaho's Premier Outdoor Writer

get enraged over something important, that you are passioniate about, not a kid goofing at a store while the parent shops.
its more "saddening" than anything to see a parent not paying any attention to their kid.All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.0 -

You never acted up once? Never got in trouble? You remember being 2 yrs old?
As I said, kids running wild with no attempt from the parents to keep them in check, not good. Just wondering where the OP is seeing all of this terrible parenting, coz in my years, I've barely seen it at all.0 -

I hope this isn't too off topic but when I was in Mallorca, a local kid was messing about and he knocked down a whole row of ceramic plates at a stall. I just watched as it all seemed to happen in slow motion. But the stall guy just shrugged, took the parents money for the broken plates and the kid apologised. That was it! My heart was still racing but all the locals were like. 'meh, that's life. It's all sorted now'.
I just thought it was funny. There was no shouting at the kid, the guy behind the stall was perfectly calm...

There is something magical about a child's mind... something so wonderful with the innocence and naivity which inheiritly makes their world quite a wonderful and amazing place. Their perspective is genuine and truthful. So lets just beat the fuck out of all that because we we cant be bothered or annoyed or have ZERO patience....
Let's just make for god damn sure they all grow up to be psycho cases cause we made them feel ashamed, or unloved or not special. Lets just make them into lifeless pieces of shit because we cant be bothered to listen to what they say... I swear this whole debate is quite fucked up!
Im glad people like you dont have children! God forbid! We just might fill up and build more mental institutions and prisons to keep these neglected children in because they eventually become adults! Pfftt... people like you make me think that we should start issuing licenses if you want to procreate!0 -
I once dropped a dime, and this little kid about 7 years old picks it up, looks straight at me and puts it in her pocket. I said "Uh, excuse me. That is my dime."
The mother gets pissed off and says to me "It's only a dime!" and says to her little shit daughter "You can keep it." And walks off.
Brilliant. Kid learned a valuable lesson that day. Two actually. First, it's cool to be dishonest. Second, her mother is a moron.San Diego 10/25/00, Mountain View 6/1/03, Santa Barbara 10/28/03, Northwest School 3/18/05, San Diego 7/7/06, Los Angeles 7/9/06, 7/10/06, Honolulu (U2) 12/9/06, Santa Barbara (EV) 4/10/08, Los Angeles (EV) 4/12/08, Hartford 6/27/08, Mansfield 6/28/08, VH1 Rock Honors The Who 7/12/08, Seattle 9/21/09, Universal City 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, San Diego 10/9/09, Los Angeles (EV) 7/8/11, Santa Barbara (EV) 7/9/11, Chicago 7/19/13, San Diego 11/21/13, Los Angeles 11/23/13, 11/24/13, Oakland 11/26/13, Chicago 8/22/16, Missoula 8/13/18, Boston 9/2/18, Los Angeles 2/25/22 (EV), San Diego 5/3/22, Los Angeles 5/6/22, 5/7/22, Imola 6/25/22, Los Angeles 5/21/24, Boston 9/15/24, Ohanafest 2025 (EV)0 -

take a deep breath. you sound crazy.
i agree with you in principle but at the same time, you're not helping.
and yes, there is a line with kids and how much you let them be their "magical" selfs in public.
backyards and zoos (family entertainment areas etc.) are for where the wild things are. public spaces require limits and control. actually so do zoos. you know what i mean.0 -
