Incredible start by Hamilton, and the early pit stop probabaly won him the race.
Very exciting race with the rain making it more interesting.
Poor Sutil, I was rooting for him to get some points.
NEXT UP
GRAND PRIX DU CANADA!!!!
See you there Ry!0 -

See you there Ry!
Hamilton raced great and you're right, the pit stop won it for him. The safety car helped too
And curses to the THREE LAPS under the safety car cause those lapped clowns wouldn't get out and pass....
I was shocked to see David Coulthard out of the race. Blew my mind!
See you in Montreal GR!0 -

Give me a buzz sat or sun. and lets at least say hello.
looks like a wet race, which should make it interesting.0 -
One of the greatest races in recent history! Can't really ask for a better race.0

Two of the best out on lap 12, and some good action to make an exciting race. Definitely a good trip.
Sorry GR. I was looking forward to clankin' a 6 dollar can of bud (well no, not bud...)0 -

watching superboy blow it was one of the most exciting things I have ever seen
Massa passed the toyotas right in front of me! Amazing.
Very interesting when two of the three dominant drivers are out so quickly.
what an event
and montreal is an amazing city.0 -
Rygar wrote:Well that was expensive, and 8-9 hours in glaring sun and 31° heat makes for a nice sunburn.

next year!
and by far and away the most expensive gear I have ever seen

It was $120 at the Puma store (plus tax). The merch was definitely over priced, but it was pretty much on par for most other sellers' prices.
Also funny was that it went up every day over the weekend.
I love Montreal, it's very depressing to have to come home...
PS: Hamilton and Rosberg have both been penalized 10 spots on the grid for France in two weeks for the rear-ending in the pits. I was disappointed to have Kimi out of the race, but the excitement of being there and some of the awesome passes and wipeouts made it an excellent race. Good show by Massa, too bad his pitting put him at such a disadvantage.
And 3rd place...that's what I get for bashing Coulthard all week long...0 -

hahaha it is a sweet shirt.
Yeah I know about the penalty-probably cost hamilton the championship.
Besides Kubica, Coulthard probably had the best race of all the drivers. I was rooting for Barichello, but he blew it with a bad pit stop and a driver error.0 -

I don't know if the penalty will cost Hamilton the championship, there's still 11 races left so anything can happen (as we've just seen)

Massa had a great race. so did alonso until he over cooked the bend. I think I better go next year!0

Trulli was off constantly in practice and qualifying too, but didn't finish the car off. The announcer had a good joke about Trulli when he placed '14th fastest, and no, that is not the number of turns he's gone off on.."0 -
Race Weekend. should be a good one0

The track conditions last race were a joke. Hopefully Montreal can get it all together next year.I only lied because it was the easiest way to get what I wanted.0

Rygar wrote:Mostly, yup.
The last minute improvements improved things, but still left a fair bit to be desired.
I walked the approach and turn 1 after the race and I have to say I was surprised at how deep those divots were.
Was that from the heat, the other races, or has the track condition always been an issue?
Anyway, looking forward to the race this weekend. It will be interesting to see how BMW follows up that performance in Canada0 -

I don't think the track condition has always been an issue, but for the last 'x' number of years they've been putting down new asphalt on those corners and it's getting torn up big time. I'm sure -30°C to +30°C temperature variations don't help things, but once the cars get on the track it starts to break down pretty fast.
Kubica said the conditions were noticably improved for the race (they used some compound they learned about from Nascar on the areas).
Interesting to see how Lewis and Heidfeld can do from 10 spots back.0 -

I thought all the track trouble made a great race, even greater. I like seeing the drivers have to earn points like that. I think they should break more tracks up like that!0 -
Rygar wrote:I have been pumped for this since Montreal, and am pissed it's still another two weeks till the next one (then another two weeks after that).
I hope Alonso doesn't get a contract with Ferrari
He's gonna get one for sure, once massa or kimi is gone. I don't think Ferrari will keep kimi if he doesnt win another championship, they would rather have Alonso I think.0
