I think some of us southern poofs who live out in the 'burbs will be quite glad that the pubs
close at 10:30pm!! My last train home from Waterloo is something like 11:15pm and I'd kind of like to catch it... I shall wend my way home and leave the hardened Special Brew Crew to find a late night drinking establishment in which to get ripped off. Have to be up at a reasonable hour on the Monday anyway, got to take the kid to nursery and then probably have to go to work. no idea when I'll be able to start queuing. sob sob :(
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?

it's even worse than i thought... the last train to Hampton on a Sunday is 22:48 from Waterloo!!! can always get a later one to KIngston or Richmond and get a bus from there though. a night bus from central London to the sticks would take a-g-e-s, and i'd miss my stop because i'd have fallen asleep in a drunken stupor so i'd wake up in the bus garage at Heathrow....

Forgot about sundays!!! Trains finish earlier! I've taken the night bus home a few times. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it drags on!

I'm sure they'll be a nice cozy couch at the garage. Just pretend you're a bus driver. I.e, swear a lot and be really rude to every member of the public you meet. Sorted!

of course i'll be there be baby :)

i'm actually shocked no-one else is doing the pub beforehand

its fine queueing up early but then all that happens is me and Al turn up half pissed and push to the front anyway :D;);)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Suppose we just wait and see what the actual arrangements for getting tickets and getting in are going to be before planning a queuing-and-beering strategy. I know at some Springsteen concerts they've taken names of people queuing up in the order they arrive so that people can wander off to get beers/food etc and still keep their place in the queue. But that requires the cooperation of the venue and security staff and also means that some people have to volunteer to organise it all.... (shuffles feet and looks at ground while whistling tunelessly) ;)

Might also be a little unwieldy given that 10C have the whole of the standing area.

Either that or we all swap our GA tickets for seated ones, that way we'll know where we'll be and can just spend all day in the pub... :D
