As for the 19-0 claims. That's a little heady if you ask me. I know it's fun to be excited, especially when their are doing so well, but it's always that team that has nothing to lose that ruins perfect seasons..
I have no expectations of 19-0, 2 tilts with Miami if nothing else will somehow find a way to prevent that. Don't know what it is, but the ghosts of those 72 Dolphins seem to have a presence, ask the 85 Bears.

The Pats have 2 very tough road games, at Indy and at Dallas.

They will probably be an underdog in Indy, they may be a slight favorite in Big D. Vegas will probably favor them 15 times out of 16 (barring Brady breaking his leg of course), but just look at yesterday to see being a favorite in the NFL doesn't guarantee victory.

I see them at 14-2 realistically if they stay healthy all the way thru.

Of course the scary thing is they've been dominant thus far without Seymour and Harrison, so they may get better by week 6. But they'll stumble along the way.

Im glad he is embarrassed and that others are questioning his integrity.

How fucking stupid- at least use a stealth camera against your former assistant you IDIOT.

that being said, they are the best team in football at the moment

maybe he didn't expect man-judas to turn into a snitch?

Or maybe thats what he wanted all along and thats why he was so blatant. Mangini's rep has taken a few hits on the inner coaching circles.

[1] did you know about the spying game going on ?

[2] and what do you think about it ? .......

to answer the above, kraft said

    1. he had no knowledge of it and spoke with belichick about it directly telling him not to do it again

    2. he basically said that the team broke the rules, accepts their punishment of the lost of the 1st round pick and the fines to belichick and the organization and that it is time to move on.

Two games in the Pats are the best team in football right now. I miss AD making plays like that for us. The guy was awesome, is still awesome, but way expensive. I'm glad to see him doing well even if he is still in the AFC.

The Pats got Randy Moss for basically nothing with no strings attached, and suddenly Brady/Moss is as potent as Palmer/Johnson and Frankenstein/Harrison. That was a good move. If Moss can just play without creating any distractions, he is still an elite reciever. We'll see New England at Baltimore in November which is good because the Pats are playing right now like nobody is going to beat them. And its not because they're cheating.

i loved this from jackie mcmullen's piece in today's globe:

"What happened last night was an annihilation. If it was a prize fight, it would have been stopped in the first half, and the Chargers would have been carted off to Massachusetts General Hospital for observation, in the event they never recovered from the beating the locals delivered with all the subtlety of a Roger Goodell sanction.

The chirpy Chargers, who boast the best running back in the game, LaDainian Tomlinson, happily added fuel to the Videogate fire during the week, with LT declaring, "I think the Patriots actually live by the saying, 'If you're not cheating, you're not trying.' "

The Patriots sure did look like they were trying last night. And, as far as we know, they weren't cheating. They were far too busy scoring touchdowns - for their coach."

Wow, you are the first Non-New Englander I've read that actually called it like it is. Thank you for sharing.

i have a question... why are you so angry about this? i can see me using this as ammo if it happened with the yankees or something... but you're acting like belichick fucked your mom and your dad in some bizarre 3 way?

the rule was no videotaping for in game use.

he was videotaping for use down the road.

    simple really... a misunderstanding

he swears on his dick that it was all he was doing

and why should he play into the media circus... it's not like he owes anyone an answer besides the NFL

the 10c doesn't answer our questions about details of tours... future shows... why it's taken them over a year to sell 2006 posters... why they screwed the PNE.. etc

why don't you get all fired up with them?

The rule is that no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in used in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game. If he can't understand that he should be committed for retardation.

He knew the rule, and he broke it. I'm mainly mad at the commissoner for not suspending him for blatently cheating which could actually have an effect on the play happening on the field rather than some other fucking loser who starts a fight in a strip club. 500 grand is pocket change he hands off to his mistress.

No rational person thinks that the videotaping is the reason they won 3 superbowls, it's more of an inditement on how shitty a person Belichick really is. Great coach...pathetic human. I'm not going to kiss his ass because I think he's a great coach. I think it's unbelievably lame they would try something so fucking stupid they didn't even need.

Obviously he lied to the commissioner the same way people lie to cops when they tell them they've only had 2 beers.

Being a dick to the media is trite, boring, and played out just like being a dick to everyone else he comes in contact with.

I guess he thinks it's cool to be a dickhead and dress like he lives in a trailer.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

You sure about that rule? What about the allowed cameras they showed Sunday night?

He's not a dick to everyone. First we could never know that and second on Monday evenings he sits in with local radio guys... it's a good listen and a friendly show. You could probably listen on weei.com or something.

Why does he have to be nice to the press? When they write shit about him and his players? If someone criticized you and then wanted to ask you more stupid irrelevant questions, how would you react? With a big smile?

He's not worried about being cool. He's not worried about being nice to every single reporter. I think I would deal with the press in quite a similar way. They ask stupid irrelevant questions and always want to stir up some shit. It's fucking football not Paris Hilton and Access Hollywood.

He worries about winning football games not being cool.

i love the fact that he is all business and just looks forward to the next game and when that one is done he moves on to the next one.

if you want a coach that makes jokes and has funny breakdowns during a press conference (and then ends up in a coors light commercial) go hire jim mora or dennis green.
