    I offered to give my friend two free tickets to the Global Gathering festival because I don't like that kind of dance music and she would enjoy it more than me. Her reaction brightened up an otherwise hellish day of illness.

    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    Well, I was at home rehearsing for a headline gig in London tomorrow, and I got a call from a venue around the corner in Cambridge to do a gig at ridiculously short notice. I mean, about an hour. Luckily, I got a soundcheck in!

    It made for a lovely live rehearsal for tomorrow, the audience was very cool, and I saw some people I haven't seen for years.

    Going out with a special girl again tomorrow and possibly Thursday. Leaving for California on Friday to see family and EV four times. Possibly selling 1-2 condos before I leave on Friday. Good times.
