Oh yeah....I forgot all about that. Sorry yosi.

For me, Green Disease is so deliciously retro-punk sounding, that I just eat it up. That intro, when Jeff's bass hits, and then the way it just builds up to the crashing start of the verse....I think it's cool as hell and makes it one of PJ's more unique songs. Matt's simple-yet-effective drumming just drives this song the way any good punk drummer does. Jeff's bass just sounds like he pulled it out of an 80s music video.

And lyrically, I think it's excellent here as well. I appreciate what Ed's trying to say here and the way he goes about it. It has vivid imagery and a focused point. I just think it's a solid song and is probably definitely my favorite song on Riot Act.

Cool. It's definitely a great song. I've recently noticed that there is some quieter guitar going on that I hadn't heard before. It's during the verse and the part leading up to the chorus. I don't know why, its nothing big, but it just gave the song a whole new level of depth for some reason.

  • Riot Act is and will probably always be my most favorite PJ album, just the way it is. To me it´s got a very distinct flow, and I love and can relate to the songs and the atmosphere. It´s deep, it´s got beautiful lyrics, and an aura of timelessness. Very very close to my heart... all in all.

I´ll have "Can´t keep" played at my funeral, says it all.

Only if your name is Fanch. Otherwise it brings fulfillment and completeness to one's life.

Love this song. Possibly the most underrated song in PJ's entire catalog.

Every PJ album has a few gems, a few hardcore punk riff songs, and a couple of ballads. Riot Act, in my opinion, is fantastic. I don't compare PJ albums with each other because its pointless. All I'll say about that is Yield is my favorite. But I love Cropduster, Ghost, LBC, Save you (which is a very well written song; with tremendous passion I must add), I am mine is a very inspirational song, Ghost has amazing lyrics: "A place in the clouds, a good place to hide on my own", I mean, come on! That's awesome. "Breaking news and building walls" etc. All or none and Thumbing are the ballads, which, in my opinion, have amazing lyrics. I'm not crazy about Help Help, Get right and arc but I don't skip them (except arc). Green Disease is not great but not bad either. All in all I believe the song writing on this album is supurb and is right up there with all the other albums. But everyone is entitled to their opinions. I would suggest reading the lyrics as you listen because that way you pick up little things you may not have heard (Eddie can be muffled at times). That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. The gems on this album are Save You, LBC, and Thumbing although it could be considered a ballad as well.

Totally agree - I am of the opinion that PJ is like a fine wine and just gets better as they age. This album was their first after the Denmark tragedy and it obviously played a role in this album - some pretty emotional tracks. Was in my cd player for six months after I bought it. Finally saw / heard Can't Keep, Save You & ARC live - all incredible.
