:D LMFAO... ah dear! There are some classics here indeed... I know there's some BIG ones I'm missing out. Soulsinging used to be the master of lazy debating!

But yeh, I sit back and wait for somebody to say why the statement you quoted is, in fact, true! :D

Exactly... it's all about the parents and how THEY feel :D I KNEW IT :p

    course it is.

if i start a thread "parents: should i spank my kids" then i want fucking parents to answer... i dont want people who were spanked as a kid coming on it and saying .. oh it never done me any harm... as it clearly did... they cant read the fucking thread title which clearly states PARENTS... so them saying its done no harm is bullshit... they cant read for a start

i also dont want 4 year old children coming onto my thread... so it obviously about the parents... i fail to see your point.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

:D True! But also, if you claim that your country is the best, strongest, richest, baddest country in the whole wide world... and you can't even defend that without resorting to the usual 'you hate America' well you're not doing yourself OR America any favours.

i can only claim my country as the best in the world. not the biggest, richest, strongest or baddest. :p:D

Well as a childless empty hole of a woman ;) you and other parents will be dead long before your kids (hopefully) so I'm more concerned about how your kids turn out to be... not what the psychological effect of spanking your kid will be on YOU :D

Of course I would know... I have close friends with kids. The only 'advice' to give them is help. If you can't give help, suggest where they can get it. If you're feeling murderous towards your child or towards ANYONE (I've felt that before) you need to either get away from the situation or get some help. That's pretty obvious to anyone! :o Anyone can give that advice... if you ask what to do when your kid starts asking about sex, I probably can't help you there... but I can tell you not to kill your kid

pfft. :rolleyes. i have friends who are christian but as an atheist i have no idea what that experience is like.

well that's fine! I'm not saying I know EVERYTHING about everything I haven't experienced :D or even about those I have. There are plenty of things I've never experienced that I can't even begin to imagine cos it's completely outside my world... kids and parents are IN my world! :)

 absofuckinglutely! We don't drop anything... it's added! Anyway let's avoid politics cos that could easily derail.

cos them and their kids will be the little fuckers terrorising me as an old person... you don't often see old people beating the crap out of eachother (note: not necessarily your kids, I'm sure and I hope they're little angels... but the accumulative 'you')

There's nothing that much wrong with it. It's just that since I'm intending to move there, I'm making a lot of comparisons with Sydney, where we do every kind of food from all around the world well. Except for Mexican.

Jason and I had an Irish brekky. And some Irish stew. The brekky was nice, but overpriced which is to be expected cos we ate in the Temple Bar area. And the stew was nothing to write home about. Steph can tell you how obsessed I am with eating. Maple syrup in Canada, salmon chower in Seattle, croquettes in Holland, and whatever Sid's dad served up for us in Croatia. If we had more time in Germany, she'd find out about my love for sausages. She didn't follow me to Hong Kong where lunch time starts at 9am and lasts till 6pm, where I ate continuously.

I'll eat anything. Except for cheese (by itself, and not melted) and durian. I'll eat people if I have to. Grubs, grasshoppers, dog, cat, ate them all.

But really, all that Guinness kept us well nourished. Didn't really feel the need to eat much.
