    cool art deco theater in town was asking for artists to submit work to be hung in the lobby and cafe for a month, i sent a couple pieces last week, and got the news today i was one of the folks picked :) they'll even do an opening party :eek:

    i am BEYOND excited for this. yay!

    yup. they plan this stuff out way in advance, i'm glad it's that far off though, gives me time to work on new stuff i might want to include too :)

    it's a local theater but yeah, they get a lot of people wanting the exposure so i feel lucky. i do graphic design as part of my job but the drawings i do are on my own time for my own enjoyment, hopefully i can parlay that into something where i can get some extra cash too

    thanks :) the next few weeks are going to be rough for me so i'm aiming to keep this as a beacon, the anticipation of it anyway

    not because of this, no. some personal stuff going on. my heart is going to be a completely ripped mess over the next month so i'm hoping i can focus on this and maybe make some new art to keep myself occupied.

    i know it's an illogical fear, it's like everybody that will be at the party tomorrow are all friends, family and coworkers....but just having my art up on the walls, it's like putting a part of myself up for display. and i hate being the center of attention. makes me wonder why i agreed to the reception part in the first place :o lol

    but thanks, i hope it goes well! if i can manage to sell even one print over the course of a month i'll be happy!

    i went to work for an hour, just having some coffee now before i go out to pick up some wine and sparkling cider for tonite, and get my nails done. and still try to not puke lol

    i got some bad news just now though.....one of my aunts in spain just passed away :( i only met her twice so it's like i feel bad but i feel worse for my dad.

    so yeah, my parents aren't coming to the reception tonite :(
