Just a fantastic game. Sucks Zambrano didn't get the win, but the pen was just fantastic. Are they playing .800 ball yet at home?Getting pretty fucking close! I think its been about a month since the last time they lost at home.
Now lets get to 500 (or better) on the road!0 -
2/3 in TOR, I'll take it. Already getting pumped for Saturday's Cubs Sox game as I'm going. Then Tuesday night after work I head out for a 5 in 5 (5 parks, 5 cities, 5 days) with 3 friends. Were hitting up.
STL @ DET
CIN @ TOR
TB @ PIT

Well that was a terrible fucking series. First time the Cubs have lost 3 in a row all year. Glad KC handled STL while the Cubs were getting thumped. Lets hope Z isn't hurt too badly.0

Sounds like you are from boys town so you should not have far to go.
Looking forward to a fun weekend. Working from home today so I can watch the game.

oh SNAP I forgot about this game today! Fucking sweet!
I just hope the Cubs can start winning again... no excuse for this team to get swept... let alone get their asses handed to them.Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0 -
So how do you want your asses handed to you this weekend, Cubs fans???0

The funny thing, there hasn't been much Cubs-Sox bashing one way or the other this year, because both teams were doing so well.0

Up for work after getting home at 1 last night after the long drive home following the game. Still loving the sweep. Damn tired but it was SOOOOOOOOOOO worth it. After Saturday there is no way I can hate Jim Edmonds anymore, all is forgiven.
On a side note, I thought Ozzie would pitch to Edmonds anytime. Therefore how come he intentionally walked him last night when the game was out of hand already?Alpine Valley 6/26/98, Alpine Valley 10/8/00, Champaign 4/23/03, Chicago 6/18/03, Alpine Valley 6/21/03, Grand Rapids 10/3/04

It was a lefty vs lefty matchup and 1st bast was open so he was setting up a possible DP. I have to say edmonds is coming around. As long as he comes up with big hits I will be cheering for him. He is wearing Cubbie Blue now after all.
Bring on Baltimore.

2008 Jim Edmonds = 1998 Gary Gaetti
Huge catalyst thus far0 -

I have used that comparison recently too. I beleive Gaetti hit a home run in the 1 game playoff against SF that year.
Why didnt we get Mike Schmidt on the Cubs before he retired?"All the money you make will never buy back your soul" Bob Dylan
