    I agree with this comment. I think maybe Harvey is dead in a figurative fashion, but Two Face will still be around and be involved in the third movie...or at least I hope so. They did a great job building up the history of Two Face, and in the next movie they could have him be really crazy.

    from what I've read, the guy in The Dark Knight that figured out Batman's identity and tried to blackmail Bruce Wayne....IS the Riddler. they said in the comic books (which I haven't read), the Riddler was the only villain that knew Batman's identity. also, the guy in the movie was named "Mr Reese". when the Joker demanded that he be killed, it sounded like his name was "mysteries". I think there could be some truth to that, since it would seem like a lot of wasted movie time on that character if they weren't introducing him for a reason. also, I say no way would Nolan get as big an actor as Johnny Depp, it would be completely against his MO to get a star that big.

    and I agree with the other poster that Two Face is not dead. it never said or even alluded to the fact that he was dead. and also, the Joker isn't dead (though it would be tough for someone to try to do that role again) and Scarecrow escaped from prison when the city went apeshit. so you've already got 3 living villains and a possible Riddler.

    bane is one dimensional .. he has no character depth what so ever, he would be boring as shit... hopefully they dont do him

    i think the Penguin would make a good minor villain maybe he takes over whats left of the mob in the next one. maybe not interesting enough to be the main threat, but certainly fits into Nolan's Batman world.

    "Bane has been one of Batman's most intelligent and physically powerful foes....Although primarily a villain, Bane is a complex character and has worked to take down drug lords. Despite their history, he has sometimes had Batman's financial backing and direct assistance..."

    yea, no character depth...and if you read on that's not all. so many different ways they could go with Bane.

    hopefully no mad hatter or riddler...

    I'm pretty sure that Nolan has said the Penguin will NOT be in any of the movies that he directs.

    Villian: The Riddler

    Actor: Johnny Depp

    Why?:
    -He's a good actor, could share the screen with Bale, Oldman, etc. and not seem out of place.
    -He fits the body type, dark hair, not too buff but not too wimpy looking.
    -I think he would like to play a bad guy, Sweeney Todd was a step in the right direction, but I'd like to see him be really cold and calculating.
    -He is a box office draw. Women like him, guys dig him. But, I don't think the producers are worried about loosing any money with these movies.

    I haven't seen TDK yet, but I would think The Joker that Ledger played and The Riddler that anyone else played would feel to most people that it was too similar. Plus Heaton I believe was upset that the villains gained more fame than the hero, and Depp as the Riddler wouldn't help Bale.

    It never says what his job description is. I dont think it is Riddler, just a nod to riddler, saying be prepared for riddler.

    uh yea, as far as comics/superheroes/villians go...wiki is not a bad thing. i would never quote wiki in a school report or anything like that...
