I can't listen at work....and I haven't listened to the show for a while. So it seems like HoJo and Artie...got into quite the fight huh? and Now Artie is talking about quitting? Is Artie saying he is suicidal and stuff? (sorry for being behind...but if someone could just fill me in on the drama real quick i'd appreciate it.)

That was huge!!! I really wanted someone to call him on that. It was a revelation as big as Artie saying he had the Subutex (sp?).

The show was really good yesterday. For all those people who think the show is just hookers taking off their shirts, they should have listened to the real drama play out yesterday.

Even the schedule is not that bad when you really break it down. I think they said that they have 10 weeks of vacation a year, but Howard doesn't take all of it. So it probably evens out to about a week off every month and a half or so. The rest of the time you only work four days a week. Sure you have to get up about 4:30 or 5 am but then at noon you are off. Plus the job you are going to is fun.

I am not a fan of the Robin's diet crap. I was really looking forward to them returning and it being all about Artie's leaving, and Robin has this bullshit going on.

I think Howard said that he's up at 4 AM. Sure, they'll end the show when they do, but do they go home after that? We don't know. They could be in meetings for a few hours. And that's after they've talked from 6 AM to whenever they signed off. PLUS, whatever they say off the air, during breaks, and before they go live. Sure, it's probably a fun job, but it can't all be glitz and glamor.

Of course, this means that they're in bed by 9 PM or so. How many times have we heard them talking about waking up during the night and flipping on their Tivo?

No nightlife for them. Going out to dinner on a weeknight? Probably not going to happen, unless it's early and quick.


IMO, an afternoon radio gig would be the best. You can sleep in AND party at night. It's sunny and light outside when you go to work and, during the summer, not too bad when you leave for the day, and you have no rush hour to deal with.

I think they only have a meeting on Thursdays. The other guys (Gary, Will, etc.) have to stick around, but for a guy like Artie he can leave right after the show is over.

I'm not saying it's all glitz and glamour, just that it is not as bad as Artie makes it out to be. In fact, it could be a pretty good gig, if you look at it in a positive way ie work four days a week for 5 hours a day.

I agree with your statement about an afternoon radio gig. Of course, then Artie would complain that his whole day is ruined because he has to do the show in the middle of the day.

I am really sick of the Robin new diet thing. I was excited when they came back from vacation to hear them talk about Artie leaving and so much of the show was about Robin.

Yesterday I wanted to hear them talk about the Sopranos and the first hour was all about Robin's diet.

Artie was mental when he was talking about Carlo. I agree with him but he went crazy!

It was funny later in the show when they were talking about where dr. Roni was when Robin was watching the Sopranos and Artie did an impression of Dr. Roni saying, "It's good for Robin to watch the Sopranos. There are a lot of anti-oxidants."

The Chris Cornell interview today was great. Spoke of being best friends with Eddie, a bit on Matt, and played some Black Hole Sun acoustical. A really free flowing great interview by Howard. Never did I think Chris would be in the studio. Learned a alot about him that I would have never known otherwise. My kudos to Howard and company for a stellar hour on Sirius today.

Howard asked if he still stays in contact with the former members of Soundgarden and he went on to say that he talks to each of them every now and then and how Matt has been the drummer for Pearl Jam for almost 6 years now. Nothing really too deep, just glazed on it.
