Green is my favorite color. I love green clothes.

Green is my fav too, that's why to me politics is such BS and it's ALL very dissappointing.

We have nothing to fear except the color green.....just colors...

AMMAN, Jordan—An Obama campaign ban on green clothing during the candidate’s visits to Israel and Jordan has created wide puzzlement among observers of the Middle East.

In a memo to reporters, described as “a few guidelines we sent staff before departure to the Middle East,” Obama advance staffer Peter Newell laid out rules on attire for Jordan and Israel.

First among them: “Do not wear green.”

An Obama aide explained to reporters that green is the color associated with the militant Palestinian group Hamas.

he shouldnt wear orange on a diplomatic trip to dublin either. what's your point? when in rome...

....do as the romans do. that's my thoughts as well.

apparently this direction was issued too.....

    “Do not wear nail polish.”

“Women should only wear a limited amount of jewelry.”

“Shoulders and arms must be fully covered (no strapless tops, no tank tops, no short sleeve shirts.)"

“Closed-toe shoes, women should also wear stockings.”

what the hell is he thinking.

we should totally not vote for him because of this.

ironic that this bitching comes from the same people who complain that bush has no diplomacy or respect for other countries and their traditions.

Actually now I'm feeling Obama's vibe....

he means do as the natives do....not the romans do...

...and any solid "team" (so to speak) colors are worth avoiding. i.e. don't pick sides.

NEUTRAL......mainstream acceptance = more votes...othjerwise known as bathing in the status quo...

Aside from everything...the Bama wanna win him some presidency...

If it's a slickly produced video clip on the internet, the by heaven's sake, it's gotta be true...

People who actually make it more than 30 seconds into that video should be Rickrolled.

yes he does. one would hope anyway...

meanwhile, those who support him, are hopefully worrying about real issues and will be basing their vote on that, not on rainbows or pinks or greens.

If you actually consider this an issue... do the United States a favor and stay home on election day.

Not wearing green? He just lost the Irish-American vote right there !!
Seriously, this is pretty low on a list of reasons not to vote for someone for president.

He does not want the color green becoz he's scared people will think he has something to do with terrorism, don't you think thats kinda stupid?

I think you overfocused on the green clothing because of your hate for the man.

Even if I thought this was stupid it sure wouldnt be a deciding factor on who I vote for. I can think of numerous gaffes by the other candidate McCain that were worse than this. Even McCain's pilot fish Nader has a list of blunders (ironically recently having to do with a color as well).

Yes, you're right. I'm mean it's not like Obama didn't get a truckful of bs on islam and terrorism already. And it's not like low arguments ever happen in American elections. You're right, he is stupid, anticipating the stupidity of others, what was he thinking?

I was quoting your post just to show the color issue was just one of many items on a list of suggestions from the campaign. Sorry if you took it as a swipe at you because it truly wasnt.

    Hate for the man?

    He is a liar...a con...

And he's got the country fooled.

I dislike his support for Israel, that he praises them without speaking of their crimes against the people of Palestine. I dislike the fact that he say's that he's against the iraq war but votes to fund it. Well.....I can go on.

He truly is an american politican. a joke.
