AMMAN, Jordan—An Obama campaign ban on green clothing during the candidate’s visits to Israel and Jordan has created wide puzzlement among observers of the Middle East.

In a memo to reporters, described as “a few guidelines we sent staff before departure to the Middle East,” Obama advance staffer Peter Newell laid out rules on attire for Jordan and Israel.

First among them: “Do not wear green.”

An Obama aide explained to reporters that green is the color associated with the militant Palestinian group Hamas.

God Bless America and Barack Obama.
  • What about a green lapel pin?

    To put it simply,

The man is running for the President of the United States of America and he never said he supported terrorist. Hamas is viewed as a terrorist organization worldwide so why wear something that could be considered offense to your allies? It specifically states two countries so maybe, just maybe, the State Department or a representative of these countries informed him of the protocol.
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

Representatives from those countries said they had no idea why he would think or do that. They were "puzzled" themselves.

So again, it's just pure stupidity on Obamas part. Just another reason to take better look at the man.

Why is everyone so taken by him? Is it his ears? They have special mind control waves? "Vote for me, I'm Obama...Believe...believe"

As long as it's not tied around his head and he's not throwing up signs, he should be good.

Then maybe the joke's on him and we see it published on a calendar for Obamaisms. Its no big deal.

my, you're full of piss and vigor today...:D

I wonder what you're point is...can't I post what I want to post....? I was just making an observation...

if someone doesn't like the fact Obama doesn't want someone doesn't wear green, and they are basing their Canadian vote on that, then that person should not vote for Obama...

    I was just making a suggestion, can't I do that...sheessh...

The reason he doesnt want to wear green....Should someone who does/think something so stupid like this color ban, should that person really be running a country?

    HA!
after who has been president for the past 8 years, i don't think stupidity should ever be questioned in regards to the presidency. ;)

I see it as a damned if you do, damned if you don't sort of thing...

Let's say he wears a green suit, does the terrorist fist-jab, and bends down to tie his shoe in front of a mosque...I'd be willing to bet that image would be plastered all over the place....

but hey, if you're basing your vote your concern that he is being too careful, that's cool with me, my friend...

....do as the romans do. that's my thoughts as well.

apparently this direction was issued too.....

    “Do not wear nail polish.”

“Women should only wear a limited amount of jewelry.”

“Shoulders and arms must be fully covered (no strapless tops, no tank tops, no short sleeve shirts.)"

“Closed-toe shoes, women should also wear stockings.”

what the hell is he thinking.

we should totally not vote for him because of this.

ironic that this bitching comes from the same people who complain that bush has no diplomacy or respect for other countries and their traditions.

Actually now I'm feeling Obama's vibe....

he means do as the natives do....not the romans do...

...and any solid "team" (so to speak) colors are worth avoiding. i.e. don't pick sides.

NEUTRAL......mainstream acceptance = more votes...othjerwise known as bathing in the status quo...

Aside from everything...the Bama wanna win him some presidency...
