This is the page I'm currently on. I feel for us to heal and move forward as the human race together we must unite and embrace one another instead of dividing ourselves with ego, boundries and fear.

    and I'm all for it and John Lennon was my hero, after all, but.....

    we is what we is, and we are where we are.

    Finding middle ground here on earth is easier than pointing to the stars and telling people here on earth that we can live as the stars do.

    What I have seen is irrelevant. It's what I think is possible that I'm focusing on.

    Yep, but we keep advancing everyday. It's what so many us strive towards...a better way to live together.

    i know i don't believe peace on earth is possible, no matter how much i wish for it to be so. mankind's collective history shows us that it is not.

    we advance technogically. that does not equate to a higher consciousness in attaining peace or even showing that it is something that we want. let alone are willing to embrace.

    But history doesn't shut out future possibilites. If you guys are cynical that's cool. We all have our own views. I just wanted to share, thought some might identify with it. If nothing else, it's a thought you can take with you and keep an open mind to. :)

    to live in peace without fear of retribution or prejudice would be great, but mankind's track record is not a good one. there has never been a time when we were not at war in some way or another with someone we thought ourselves superior to. i see mankind as a creature of habit and because of this, i don't see peace as high on my human possibilities list.

    See, at one time woman were treated less than men. At one time, people of color were treated less than whites. I believe in a time where it will be generally accepted that we are all equal...where we truly begin to understand and practice the idea that none of us are superior to another. I like that thought. :)

    i am not a fan of society abook. and i wonder how much you truly believe that. if we have to implement laws in order to coerce people to treat others as equals, is that really an advancement? sure, for the majority of us death by stoning because of an extra marital affair is not something we need be concerned about, but for others it is a real concern. though naturally of course only for the women involved. somehow males are not responsible nor held accountable to adulterous charges.

    women are still treated as subservient to men. and non-whites are still treated as being less than whites. just as minorities in non eurocentric societies are treated as somehow less than the majority. and let's not even get started on class in supposedly classless societies.

    It's apparent in how we interact with one another now as opposed to the past, that shows we have evolved...especailly on a local level. In the near future with advancements in technology we will start becoming more aware of the world around us....communication barriers are crumbling. I believe that with this new age of information we will in deed see a large advancement in human interaction. I'm very hopeful.

    Yes, I know....the point is, we are improving. I'm talking in terms of general society. Things that were generally considered by the public to be 'acceptable' are now no longer the case.

    it's not apparent to me. i listen to what people around me say and i weep for their small minds. i don't see technology as being any more beneficial to us than it has already become. i certainly don't see it as an indicator of any advancement on the part on human understanding and tolerance. they say the world is becoming a global village and yet we still treat our neighbours appallingly.
