I noticed during the video of "scientists" that not one neuroscientist was present. Most of the "scientists" were either Physicians, Psychologists or Philosophers. I personally didn't recognize any of them. Which is not to say that they are not credible.
Anyway, the major claim that consciousness can exist without a brain is absurd. Probably why no neuroscientists were actually present, because that would be doubly absurd and I doubt they would agree to such a claim. There is no evidence for any of the claims in this video. It appeals to emotion only.
Go down this road if you want, but know that Kabbalah is a hebrew concept that comes almost directly from Judaism. IMO Kabbalah is to Judaism what ID Theory is to Creationism.

We don't still interact the same way we did back in the stone age. Most of us evolve on...some faster than others. But as an idea spreads in follows the future generations. At first, some were open to the idea that say, slavery is wrong. It starts just as an idea. Then more and more come to realize that this is correct. There will always be ones out there that still resort to these crimes but it's quite a leap from where it was accepted by large.
I always thought the same. Whatever your level of negativity you cannot deny we have come a long way since the middle ages for instance. We fight less, wage less wars and (try to) treat our fellow humans better. It may take a long long time but the way our society is evolving is going towards a peaceful and equal society. I doubt any of us will actually witness that but it's bound to happen at one time or another (granted we survive as a specie).

I just fear there are too many people in positions to keep society off balance and keep it unstable, no matter how much people with this kind of idea would like to see it otherwise. There are plenty of ideas that I just can't get on board with...thus why I'm here debating on this board. And of course ideas that sound good to me are the ones I focus on...it wouldn't make sense to focus on ideas that don't sound good to me. For instance, the Christian belief that all you have to do is believe in Jesus and ask for forgiveness everyday to get into heaven...sounds lovely....but it's not one I see myself getting behind. Or the idea that we can trust the Dems to change this country's direction...another nice idea that I just don't believe.
