Based on what I know of Eddie Vedders political beliefs, he and Ron Paul are miles apart. The only belief they share istheir view on America's foreign policy."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

Seems unlikely. They likely share a lot of Paul's views on defense/war, but his views on individual rights and economics would probably greatly conflict with theirs.0 -

Would that be the thread that compairs Kucinich's voting record with Paul's because a lot of those statments have already been shown to be falsehoods."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

Yes, it certainly takes an elightened man to suggest that a simple exchange between me and my doctor would be a crime.0 -

Ah yes, there it is. If your views are vastly different than ffg's you must be stupid. If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

Hehe...not what I'm saying. I was going to take issue with the "modern marvel" thing until I realized that I could actually agree with the words, if not the poster's implications.
I am saying, however, that if your views are vastly different than mine, and you're willing to force those views upon me, you must be crazy, actually0 -

I wouldn't consider any politician, including Ron Paul, a modern day marvel. I would save such a title for people who have achieved something beyond what mankind is accustomed to."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

Working authentically, with good intent and for the people for one's whole life is something I see as admirable...edit: even remarkable or 'marvel'-ous. This includes people who do so to less degrees of authenticity or enlightenment, being only human.

I guess you're surrounded by a world full of crazy willing participants called society. If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

He is enlightened because you associate with his political beliefs. There are people out there who may think that George Bush is enlightened and he is surely not a candidate for the title of modern day marvel. It takes far more than being a nice genuine person to be considered a marvel in my book."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

I actually don't share all of his beliefs. I don't feel abrupt massive change is good for a people--especially if so many are opposed such beliefs. But, that's what a good old vote is for. It will represent the voters and the silent vote of non-voters.
In the end, I'm all for people getting out and sharing an enlightened message to the masses, especially one that indicates the future of humankind. Not too many are doing so. It's quite MARVEL-ous."The opposite of a fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be another profound truth." ~ Niels Bohr
