Hey...R&B? O.K. maybe, but I don't think so (wait, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little). But, "McCain Supporters"? That's just insulting and way out of line...

it's obvious most of you have no knowledge of what real hip-hop is.
it should be EV and Immortal Technique or wise intelligent of PRT.
talk about a lyrical execution of GB!!0 -
And I think it would be cool if this thread went away, lol."So forget the other boys because my love is real.
Come off your battlefield."0 -
R&B/RAP/Rock collaborations are:
L-A-M-E
Save that shit for Bono,Sting, and Carlos "Fucking" Santana.
Eddie does just fine on his own.0 -
This would be the dumbest idea EVERShows:

I agree! Let Timbaland ruin something else! Yayyyyy!!!
Personally, I don't think Ed + 'R&B' would work.Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.0 -
what a dreadful idea0

I also note the references on here to REM trying this theme out, and we all know ho well that worked on around the sun......that was truely awful, and perhaps why that record was one of the worst received REM release of their career despite putting on their one of their finest tracks0

wait a minute, weren't Ed and John Legend doing something for a Howard Zinn program or something??? I'm not sure if it was together or they were both contributing individually... Those two together could work.Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...0

imo not a great idea...kinda like jumping the shark..but hey something with beck, trent or chris c....that would be cools

its the worst idea since R Kelly decided to video his shagging sessions.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0

Terrible, terrible idea. Let Cornell shit on his career by himself.
IMO, Ed should venture a little more into Eastern-tinged music. He was definitely onto something with his collaborations with Nusrat.0 -
the Roots and Eddie Vedder doing Masters of War......

Lot of close minded people here. Can't believe people are dismissing entire genres of music.
Let's hope Jay-Z doesn't do a rock collaboration - we all know rock is shit, just look at Nickelback!continue to collaborate all you want with springsteen , young neil and whoever else is rock and roll.
In other words, do what they've been doing for all their career...0 -
If Ed is ever going to collaborate wiht anyone it better be with musicians older than him. Like townsend, daltrey, jimmy page, neil young. I don't like the idea of him collaborating with younger singers, it sounds very MTV.5/28/06, 6/27/08, 10/28/09, 5/18/10, 5/21/10
