No don't impeach him. Make him face them, and work with them, bipartisanly, the way this country is supposed to operate. (And this comes from a dyed in the wool democrat)

They won't try to impeach him, that would probably make the situation worse, what they will do, is try to work with him, and move this thing in the direction that it needs to go......one of the best lines I heard all night last night about the war inparticular was from Sen Obama of Illinois, "there are no good solutions to the war, there are bad solutions and worse"....so very true......

As great as it is this change is, they won't impeach. They should have done that a while ago, anyway.

it's smart to set expectations very low.

Screw that...they get elected for a reason...do your jobs...do it well...screw bad and worse, find the better solution, improve the situation...goes for any and all reps & senators.

I'm betting Obama doesn't even have a 'bad solution'. I haven;t even heard 1 solution.

Possibly, because I know they are going to try and take even more of my money to support a bunch of useless, wasteful programs.

Of course, you're the one whose usually so bitter. Out of curiousity, I always wonder why you are so bitter about the minutiae of a government that is not even your own.

THAT'S THE SMELL OF CHANGE COMING TO AMERICA!

Democrats have control of HOUSE -> Democrats can Impeach the President!

I'm not sure about impeachment, while it would be fun to watch, I'm hoping to see some much needed oversight and the return of checks and balances....

if libs are so confident they win on the issues, then why did all the democratic leaders disappear before the election? we all know that the liberal positions on the Iraq War, cloning, and immigration are so inarticulate and libs refuse to engage in any kind of debate/discussion because they are always made to look like the dunces they are when presented with facts. do you even agree with any of the democrats that won? because they are all conservative democrats, and you probably wouldn't agree with them on anything.

Yeah hopefully they will once again raise the standard for acceptable levels of mercury in the water, start funding after school programs again, stop reducing retirement benefits for public officials...

You are an ass if you get bent out of shape when a couple of YOUR dollars are being spent on social programs while HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS of YOUR dollars are going towards a worthless war in Iraq.

Considering that you acknowledge that they're his dollars, what right do you have to call him names based on how he chooses to use them?

It's govt money- that he paid in taxes. The parties have different priorities when spening it.

The Republicans have certainly left one stinking mess behind for them to attempt to tidy up. No doubt the Republicans will criticise them if they fail to do so.

I never concern myself with the minutiae of American Politics. I couldn't really give a fuck about it. Although I do concern myself with issues of American Politics that effect the wider world. I also concern myself with matters of American politics that simply amuse me - Like George - frat boy - Bush e.t.c.

I'm bent out of shape for almost EVERY tax dollar that is taken from me - whether for the war or for any of the programs mentioned above. There are plenty of programs for which I am truly morally opposed, yet my tax dollars are used to fund them and it doesn't make me feel real good.

    Sure...you're never bitter!

I'm in basically the same mood as always. I guess all the complaining will stop now that the U.S. will be perfect again. ;)

Do you honestly think that this election will impact our policy to win in Iraq? The Democrats that won are basically Republicans with D's next to their name and are not for losing (in liberal lingo, redeployment). If they side with the far-left leadership, they will not win re-election. So, no, those of us who care more about the issues aren't bitter about last night, because we didn't lose on the issues.

Not yet, anyway. It's coming, though. Once the country realizes that social issues aren't as important as more tangible ones, the Democrats will likely pick up more rural, blue collar votes. And, if they don't change too much on their social issues, Democrats will also hold on to the urban vote. Republicans may very well be regulated to the McMansionites in the suburbs.

Too bad. Welcome to America. I bet you didnt mind using the roads that taxes paid for. The schools they paid for, that helped you make the money that you complain about being taxed.

It is so arrogant of people to stand on the shoulders of giants and then deny the collective effort that got them there once they have the pice of the pie they want.
