    Isn't Cheney president already?
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

My point exactly. Impeaching Bush doesn't really do anything, but take the puppet away from the puppet master.

Yeah, I definitely posted my gut reaction without really thinking about it. Thanks for bringing me back to reality!

Not really worried about impeaching Bush... Just get our boys out of Iraq in a timely fashion... I think the Dems. really have something to prove now..
I'm gone ..Long gone..This time I'm letting go of it all...So long...Cause this time I'm gone
  • If you are 25 or less in age, you think this is some huge change, becaue the media wants you to believe that and can't contain themselves. But wait ten years and you will see that neither party will provide real change.....

    Impeaching Bush ... no.

We'll no probably not. Instead America came out and voted to handcuff the president of the united states. Interesting alternative.

Its encouraging after the major disapointment when they voted to reelect him.

Politics as usual.. I fear we get more of the same with America tiring of the democrats in a few years and swinging the other way.

Would have been much better had they impeached him.

Democrats have always been keen in going to war. However, do you think that a democratic president would have created Guantanamo; created the definition of "enemy combatant", that doesn't fit in the international law; allowed torture; etc etc etc?

It's a shame that us Brits haven't been able to kick Blair out of office for lying to the public and taking us into an illegal war. I can't believe that cocksucker's still in charge here. But then, he's not permitted an independent inquiry into the affair, and into the David Kelly incident. So much for democracy!

Interesting quote by Napoleon. It seems that is the tactic we took with Bush until now.

Which war? Afghanistan probably but I doubt Democrats, ie if Gore were president instead of Bush, would have gone down the Iraq route after 9/11. That decision did not make any strategic and military sense at all. It was a neo-con dream all along. Some Dems just tagged along for the ride.

    Agreed on the rest.

Cheney can be impeached too. If Bush and Cheney are both impeached and removed from office, Nancy Pelosi will become President...unfortunately not likely to happen.

Bush's handlers - puppet masters/speech writers e.t.c - are very careful not to place him in a position where he has to think on his feet, or engage in any kind of debate/discussion in which he'll be made to look like the dunce that he is.

No don't impeach him. Make him face them, and work with them, bipartisanly, the way this country is supposed to operate. (And this comes from a dyed in the wool democrat)

This is so naive and immature. What change do you think those clones are going to bring about?

They won't try to impeach him, that would probably make the situation worse, what they will do, is try to work with him, and move this thing in the direction that it needs to go......one of the best lines I heard all night last night about the war inparticular was from Sen Obama of Illinois, "there are no good solutions to the war, there are bad solutions and worse"....so very true......

As great as it is this change is, they won't impeach. They should have done that a while ago, anyway.

it's smart to set expectations very low.

Screw that...they get elected for a reason...do your jobs...do it well...screw bad and worse, find the better solution, improve the situation...goes for any and all reps & senators.

I'm betting Obama doesn't even have a 'bad solution'. I haven;t even heard 1 solution.

Possibly, because I know they are going to try and take even more of my money to support a bunch of useless, wasteful programs.

Of course, you're the one whose usually so bitter. Out of curiousity, I always wonder why you are so bitter about the minutiae of a government that is not even your own.

I'm not sure about impeachment, while it would be fun to watch, I'm hoping to see some much needed oversight and the return of checks and balances....

if libs are so confident they win on the issues, then why did all the democratic leaders disappear before the election? we all know that the liberal positions on the Iraq War, cloning, and immigration are so inarticulate and libs refuse to engage in any kind of debate/discussion because they are always made to look like the dunces they are when presented with facts. do you even agree with any of the democrats that won? because they are all conservative democrats, and you probably wouldn't agree with them on anything.

Yeah hopefully they will once again raise the standard for acceptable levels of mercury in the water, start funding after school programs again, stop reducing retirement benefits for public officials...

You are an ass if you get bent out of shape when a couple of YOUR dollars are being spent on social programs while HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS of YOUR dollars are going towards a worthless war in Iraq.

Considering that you acknowledge that they're his dollars, what right do you have to call him names based on how he chooses to use them?
