I’m not saying anything about the validity of this guys’ claim. I’m commenting on how many people here are frothing at the mouth over anything that may portray their fearless leader in a negative light. I agree that the GOP would be all over this if they thought it was valid (unless of course it’s all a conspiracy that they’re in on, waiting for the other shoe to drop before getting involved…maybe they do support it, but don’t want to play the heavy? )

Now I voted for McCain and I do not believe this story about Obama. To answer your question about McCain he was born on a military installation to american parents, which makes him a Natural Born Citizen. If this was such a major issue why is there no tv media covering this?

This is a non-issue that will die a natural death soon. One of the last vestiges of right wing lunacy this election year that is not worth the paper it is not printed on.

I think he has a birth certificate. I don't see how this is the right grasping at straws or anything. A guy filed a law suit and due to Obama's negligence things got ' worse'. Eventually he'll probably produce his birth certificate, problem solved, but we won't know why he didn't nip this in the bud.

perhaps he didnt think such a ludricous notion should be dignified with an answer.

From the FactCheck site another poster provided & one of the 'issues':

*The document is a "certification of birth," not a "certificate of birth."*

I just looked at my daughter's 'birth certificate' that I had mailed to me (we moved to a different state when she was 4 months) and it is a 'certification of vital record' from the state of Colorado. A certification of birth or certification of vital record is the short form. I'm not sure what the problem is here.........Is there something I need to get in order in case my 4 year decides to run for the highest office in the country years from now? I mean, she does have a Hispanic/Spanish last name and all................

Look, I can totally appreciate debating and taking issue with Obama's stances on the issues and how he intends to run the country once he takes office, but this issue? Am I missing something here?
