Can you really create a post with nothing more than a video of some rabbi speaking against israel and NOT think your going to piss off every jew on the board? You cant be that stupid....Or maybe you can. How can conduct like this not be seen as offensive to any jewish person whether they support israel or not? People don't call everyone that criticizes Israel an anti-semite. look at mammasan. he/she has criticized Israeli policies and no one got all defensive about it. all that happened was a discussion of what had been said. the difference is that the criticism wasn't presented in a tone that screamed blind hatred and mammasan didn't make any classically anti-semitic remarks about the Jews controlling the media or America or world financial markets, and there were no comments about the holocaust being cosmic come-uppence for the evil wrought by the Jews, and so forth and so on. go ahead and criticize Israel. that's fine. it's when your criticism of Israel goes starts to sound blindly hateful that people start thinking that perhaps there is something more sinister lurking behind your words (your here is general, just so you don't get immediatly defensive).0 -

I don't think any criticism of Israel gets you branded an anti-semite. you have made comments critical of Israeli policy and I wouldn't say that you are an anti-semite. that said, some of the other people posting on the train are so blindly hateful that I cannot help but be put on edge by their comments, and when people start actually making comments about Jewish control of the media and the financial system and American policy, all of which are classically anti-semitic paranoia, then it is hard not to come to the conclusion that at some level they are either actively anti-semitic, or at the very least have internalized anti-semitism to some extent.0 -

Ideas such as Jewish control of finance, or the media, or of the world, etc, etc, none of which is true. I have no problem with talking about the history of my people. However my people has never controlled the media, or finance, or America. All of these beliefs are anti-semitic and have very long histories in the West, which is why I call them classically anti-semitic.0

Actually, 96% of the media is 'controlled' by Jews because big media conglomerates are the hands of Jews, whether you look at AOL Time Warner, Viacom, Disney, Vivendi, etc. Just think 'Rupert Murdoch'. Just stating.... nothing anti-semitic about this.0 -
