The US government has been our own worst enemy for many decades now."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0

I was going to say, it started about 30 years a go...Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I would go back a little further to say 1823 with the writting of the Monroe Doctrine. That was the initial pebble in the lake. The Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine was also a defining moment in the progession of our government becoming our enemy."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -
i would go back and say way back when man scurried down from trees and started eating poor defenseless animals.0

I was born with a bias against the U.S. government. I'm Canadian.
It's very difficult for me not to make assumptions about american people.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -

Bush and cabal have gotten essentially everything they want according to plan so far.
I'm not sure how well the "they are all just so incompetent and bumbling" statement holds up.
It was not a mistake to get tits deep in Iraq. It was actually planned and thought about for many years prior to it happening.
Just an innocent bumbling mistake? heh yeah..Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

Maybe you don't understand the implicit association bias. At the subconscious level, African American's have a pro white bias. I personally have a slight bias for white people, a huge bias for Canada, no bias for age or sex, a moderate bias for thin people. As determined by an implicit association test. I take this into account when I act rationally.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. I absolutely understand association bias. thats why I get more upset when an american solider dies compared to an Iraqi solider.
but I still try to not make general assumptions about groups of people. which you completely avoided addressing in you try to be smart way.0 -

It doesn't matter if bush is bumbling though, as he's just a puppet, he didn't write the plans. I'm sure the next president will be a little thick to.
Bush is certainly the most stupid but regan wasn't much better.Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!
The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.0 -
I think the government is completely out of control.
I also think it will get even worse if there's a Democratic President with a Democratic congress.
Talk about liberties being stripped away.
I shudder to think about it.The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.0 -

With the exception of Ron Paul, Kucinich, or Gavel, any of the other canidates will just continue to drive this country into the mud. It really is a sad testiment to our political system when the best we have to offer is Clinton, Guiliani, Romney, Obama, Edwards, and Thompson."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

the truth is Americans are fat and happy, so real change won't come until the bottom falls out and people are forced to pay attention (and probably when its too late).0

And the government is the fattest and happiest of them all. It's ridiculous. The only people we should try to get even with...
