    In what sense in the United States the pinnacle of the world? It's perennially the richest country for sure, but even with that it is also perennially the 1st world leader in poverty, incarceration, prenatal death, murder, and is the only country besides Somalia to sentence children under 18 to death (and the only country to kill a child through its penal system since 1997).

    I will admit we do face social issues often, through many forms of media including this site, which is much more than other countries do. But you don't maintain being the 'pinnacle of the world' by not changing obvious flaws in the system.

    My point is, not everyone is American, I sure as hell am not.

    Just because you have a racial problem in the southern U.S. it does not represent the entire world.

    insight comes from seeing both sides of something, as opposed to making up your mind and then searching for facts that back-up your theory.

    I've repeatedly had high IQ scores on various controlled tests. None of which were administered by my mother.

    My boss is Philipino.

    His peers, e.g. other project managers, are black and native.

    Not all of them are minorities, but most of them.

    The PM of the design department is both latino and homosexual.

    That reminds me of this one night at Norma Jeans I was hanging out with 4 black guys and 3 black women from Detroit. I was the only white guy at the table. It was all cool.

    They took off to have a knife fight later on, and I stayed at the bar. Other than that they were cool.

    WHAT??? I'm talking about countries like England, South African, Austrailia, someone mentioned eastern Europe, Asian country's, all have issues with "race". Just because you, as an individual, live and work in a cool situation doesn't mean it's true for everyone around you. Your problem is that you can't see outside of yourself.

    Yea, some people, like my old boss was very discriminatory. He would not interview any minority, woman or homosexual. He just wouldn't, he wasn't going to hire me because I smoke, but he ran out of options by not hiring anyone else.

    On the other hand, there are those "minorities" and women that blame white people or men for all their hardships.

    Who just up and leaves to go to a "knife fight"? No self respecting black people would go into a fight involving weaponry and not have at least one firearm amongst them. Actually, make that no self-respecting American. Was the fight maybe an escalation-type fight? Maybe they started out with knives and then moved on to swords or Molotov cocktails or something?
