I wouldn't find myself in that position, but it's really a tiresome argument anyway because no two people ever feel exactly the same in the same situations.

Plus, I guess you're saying that a woman who hasn't been pregnant isn't really entitled to an opinion about it either.

oh no im not saying that at all. but it makes all the difference when you find yourself in that situation and are faced with so many truths that you need to deal with. the argument is open to conjecture, but you just dont know for sure until youre faced with it.

and how do you know you'd never find yourself in 'that position?' sometimes shit happens that is outside our control. the only fail safe contraceptive is abstinence and we all know how futile that argument is, dont we?

and yeah youre right, no two people feel the same way and generalisations about abortion and its rightness and wrongness are pure bullshit as far as im concerned. the only people, who know what is best, is the people directly involved. and as far as i can see anyone not carrying the child, ultimately has no say in the matter. sure the guy can voice his opinion, but he cant make the women carry the embryo to term.

a woman can put the baby up for adoption...if she so chooses. if she feels she can go through with the pregnancy and the labour and can give up her child to another, then adoption is a fine alternative. a lot of women choose not to go down this path for various and very personal reasons.

there is no simple solution. whether it be abortion or adoption or choosing to keep your child, we all make choices in our lives. some of us have to live with very real and difficult choices for the remainder of our lives. this is not to say we make those choices without any thought. some of us actually think about our decisions daily. but in the end the only person that knows is the person most directly involved in the decision. but sometimes even they wrestle with their decision and all we can do it offer support without judegment.

Yes, but your mindset as it is can contemplate a 180. That would be a misconception. Too many variables.

Perhaps sex would not be a recreation. If the male has to accept the egg from the female then fertilize and carry it to term, then there would be less chance for accidental birth . But then even that would depend on the instinctual motivation to intercourse. We consider intercourse pleasurable. Would that necessarily be so? Do seahorses orgasm?
