If you aren't ready for a baby and it's in it's first trimester, have an abortion.
If you're having a baby and you consider the fertilized egg to be life, don't have an abortion.
There, now all you assholes can shut the stuff up.
well thanks for the insight and the name calling. it really is endearing.
perhaps you could take your own advice? NOPE!!! NOPE!!!

I wouldn't find myself in that position, but it's really a tiresome argument anyway because no two people ever feel exactly the same in the same situations.
Plus, I guess you're saying that a woman who hasn't been pregnant isn't really entitled to an opinion about it either. The only people we should try to get even with...

I have asked this question a couple of times before and never got an answer but i will try again.
How come women can't just put the baby up for adoption instead of having an abortion? I know I am not a woman and can't fully understand what it is like to be pregnant, but it just seems like such a simple solution.Seeing visions of falling up somehow.

oh no im not saying that at all. but it makes all the difference when you find yourself in that situation and are faced with so many truths that you need to deal with. the argument is open to conjecture, but you just dont know for sure until youre faced with it.
and how do you know you'd never find yourself in 'that position?' sometimes shit happens that is outside our control. the only fail safe contraceptive is abstinence and we all know how futile that argument is, dont we?
and yeah youre right, no two people feel the same way and generalisations about abortion and its rightness and wrongness are pure bullshit as far as im concerned. the only people, who know what is best, is the people directly involved. and as far as i can see anyone not carrying the child, ultimately has no say in the matter. sure the guy can voice his opinion, but he cant make the women carry the embryo to term.hear my name

a woman can put the baby up for adoption...if she so chooses. if she feels she can go through with the pregnancy and the labour and can give up her child to another, then adoption is a fine alternative. a lot of women choose not to go down this path for various and very personal reasons.
there is no simple solution. whether it be abortion or adoption or choosing to keep your child, we all make choices in our lives. some of us have to live with very real and difficult choices for the remainder of our lives. this is not to say we make those choices without any thought. some of us actually think about our decisions daily. but in the end the only person that knows is the person most directly involved in the decision. but sometimes even they wrestle with their decision and all we can do it offer support without judegment.hear my name

            My beliefis this...
Just like if women laid eggs, our culture would be entirely different than it is as we now know it.
If the dynamic of birthing changes... Everything changes... Our religions would be vastly different, our evolution would be different, even the locations of our metropolitan areas would change, our laws change, our recreations change.
Take it deep people...this is a deep hypothetical.
We would never know how we presently exist. Roles would change. Primary needs would be altered, secondary needs would be completely different.
You can't assimilate our present lives and simply change the method of birthing w/o considering the complete historical matrix.the Minions0

Well my first impression would be that women would have a more advanced role as hunters and gatherers and become the stronger sex. They would have simply evolved differently.
I believe we'd be a more peaceful society. It would be ludicrous to consider sending men off to battle because they would be the life-givers and it'd be just as ridiculous to send the women because they would still be the egg-bearers.
There are simply going to be vast differences beyond our scope of life as we presently know it.

Yes, see that was my first thought also, but then I was thinking if we kept our biological make up mostly intact would we necissarily change so much that we swing around 180d in perspective?
I was thinking that it might be that women could possibly become the major bread winners and the stronger sex OR maybe how we view gestation, birth and primary care giving could be so different that we become more in tune with each other and there is the emergence of a completely equitable society. Where everyone works together to raise the children, share the work, etc. So perhaps if that was the case other realities might present themselves and abortion might become obsolete?

Yes, but your mindset as it is can contemplate a 180. That would be a misconception. Too many variables.
Perhaps sex would not be a recreation. If the male has to accept the egg from the female then fertilize and carry it to term, then there would be less chance for accidental birth . But then even that would depend on the instinctual motivation to intercourse. We consider intercourse pleasurable. Would that necessarily be so? Do seahorses orgasm?
