    We don't still interact the same way we did back in the stone age. Most of us evolve on...some faster than others. But as an idea spreads in follows the future generations. At first, some were open to the idea that say, slavery is wrong. It starts just as an idea. Then more and more come to realize that this is correct. There will always be ones out there that still resort to these crimes but it's quite a leap from where it was accepted by large.

    and get along, whilst discussing politics, religion and life without arguing.

    Heck, I would love it if I could sit down and talk and get along with my own family whilst discussing politics, religion and life without arguing.

    And maybe it could happen, one night. But then, the next day, someone's gonna ask Cate what she thought of me, and someone's gonna ask me what I thought of Cate, and someone else is gonna ask you what you thought of both of us, and somewhere down the line someone's gonna say: "Trouble in Paradise" and sell the story to Star Magazine for $1 mil and all three of us will be misquoted and there'll be a picture of us looking drunk and silly.

    I'm an advocate of peace and peoples' right to happiness but I also live in reality. Cynical? Yes. Sad? Yes. Realistic? Yes. Do I still want to sit down with you and Cate over dinner? Yes.

    While we work toward understanding each other, let's pray the rest of the world keeps up.

    Whether or not you and Cate agree with me here, I'd just like to say for the record:

    I support our troops, any troops. I support people who have to go in there and fight for their country.

    I support what my country stands for, even though my country is being led by fools and murderers in this current administration.

    I support love, understanding, putting oneself in someone else's shoes in order to see what life on the other side of the fence is all about.

    I support everyone who posts on this Train.

    I support our right to argue with one another.

    I support our right to hope that by arguing we can all learn from one another.

    I support knowledge, education, integrity, respect, fairness and the pursuit of liberty and happiness.

    I support you and Cate and everybody else who puts up with me and my rambling.

    I support spicy foods and the burning sensations they bring forth.

    I support UNDERSTANDING and EMPATHY.

    I support support hose.

    I support columns.

    I do believe in myself. I wouldn't vote myself into office, mind you....but I do believe in myself.

    I wouldn't go parading up and down the street, now, Abook. This does not, by any means, mean that I also believe in everybody else.

    I can only own my own actions and how I treat others. It doesn't bother me if you think I'm silly because I believe in it despite what people think.
