Just saw it on CNN that McCain will attend tonight's debate. I just have to ask though, I thought he wasn't going to debate until their was a proposal in Congress? As of right now there is no proposal.

Shocker. I love how we were all waiting for him to decide whether or not he would take part in a presidential debate. Will he? Won't he? Just goes to prove how rigged even the debates are now by the Incumbent/War Party(GOP and Dem). One side can just decide he isnt going to show up meanwhile candidates like Nader and Barr that want to talk about real issues we most care about are shut out entirely.

Seriously, his campaign has been a hot mess for the past two weeks. My whole life

His campaign reminds me so much of the campaign Mary Beth Cahill ran for John Kerry four years ago. I like to call it the "prevent defense" of campaigning0

He took a gamble and it doesn't seem to have payed off. Now he has to try to save face because he looks like backed out of his promise."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0

I said long ago there's no way he's going to allow Obama 90 minutes of free air time. He just couldn't let that happen.

Just another way of him seeking as much attention as he can get. It may serve him better to just man up and face Obama and let things be what they may.

"He is optimistic that there has been significant progress toward a bipartisan agreement now that there is a framework for all parties to be represented in negotiations, including Rep. [Roy] Blunt as a designated negotiator for House Republicans," the campaign said in a statement.
"The McCain campaign is resuming all activities and the senator will travel to the debate this afternoon."0

I hope this debate is different, and that they discuss the issues and it's not all political fluff and talking in circles with no real substance. Now that even Bush admits this country is in a financial crisis, there are some serious issues to debate.
I for one will be tuned in.0
