Thanks. I've been getting McCain and Guiliani shoved down my throat so I must have missed Ron Paul.

No problem. FYI....Ron Paul is probably the only candidate in the entire race that isn't interested in shoving things down your throat.
  • I think the video was misleading. More than likely there was some sort of javascript or code in the bulletin that got his account in trouble. Funny how even in fullscreen you couldn't read the code.

It seems like his supporters are becoming that way though. It's sad really. I do like Ron Paul a lot. His supporters are going to the extreme though in their online tactics. More conventional methods could probably help him get his message out without looking like a conspiracy nut.

I totally agree. Some of the supporters are very fervent and take things a bit far with their actions, particularly the prisonplanet idiots. This myspace thing is probably a good example of where they've taken things too far and hurt the cause more than they help it.

But it's tough to fault Ron for the actions of others, and the "conventional methods" aren't exactly open to him either.

I don't fault Ron Paul for it at all. I just kind of cringe at the image it creates for him.

And the comments posted in regards to the video hint or overtly say something like this. Not to mention numerous people responded commenting that they were able to send out bulletins re: him, just fine.

    Damn...you're on to me. :D

Well...I tried it myself and didn't have any problems that I could see. I've logged back on maybe once an hour since and everything seems to be OK. Thanks to anyone who tried it themselves, didn't mean to cause a stir.

And, while I am a fervent believer in RP's candicacy, I can't think of a better opponent for him to run against than Kucinich. I disagree with his gun ban proposals, but the repeal of the Patriot Act, withdrawing from Iraq, NAFTA, WTO are issues that I can get behind.

The debate between the two would at least be one of substance, not the hollow & insincere drivel dripping from HilOba MittCain's mouths....
I think a Kucinich-Paul presidential race would result in the most substantive political debates since Lincoln debated Douglas. Too bad it's never going to happen :(

Totally. The hardest part of being a fringe candidate is convincing people you're better than a fringe candidate. This kind of crap just makes it even harder.

In order for two people to debate, those two people must share a rational foundation. That would be impossible with Kucinich & Paul. It would be a total joke.

I'm not sure I get what you're saying. I don't think either of them are irrational.

What in God's name is Kucinich "trying to change"??? He simply represents the near end-game of the direction this nation has been headed in for the last century.

??? ffg, it isn't a debate if both candidates share exactly the same views. These two candidates are injecting promise and inspiration back into our elections. I'm surprised by your comment.

I'd certainly agree that both candidates are "injecting promise and inspiration" to a subset of the electorate. And I didn't suggest that both candidates need share similar views.

I kind a disagree. I'm not a Kucinich supporter but the man stands on his own and is not some party line puppet like the other Dem candidates. Paul and Kucinich may be completely different ideology wise but they are both passionate, intelligent, and what seems to be honorable men.

Whether you vote for Kucinich or Ron Paul, please God don't do so because of someone other than Kucinich or Ron Paul.

Dennis Kucinich is certainly passionate. I'd agree with that.
