It's like a plane. Once you go First Class you can never go back. Regardless, anything's better than the seats at my first show. The absolute last seat in the building. But who cares, only the cranky, long-time Ten Club members would let their proximity decide the quality of their show.

Besides, those old timers up front need those seats so they can actually see and understand what's going on.

This makes me laugh...in a good way. :D

You whipper-snappers are so precious. :p
  • How high are the numbers now a days. I joined back in 2000 and thought I would never have that great of seats with a # like 218xxxxxx. On the 03 tour I didn't but in 05 I had great seats for the Denver shows. I wanted to know if my # was somewhere in the middle. It doesn't matter, but it's cool to think I'm moving up on the ladder every year.
  • if you have been a member for 5 years or more you will have great seats. It mostly depends on the demographics anyway. i.e there are more 10c members in the Northwest than the Midwest or South.

1994 must have been the big year I joined in 94 too and got 84xxx

I love seniority, but at the same time maybe limit the first few rows so there are not so many repeats to let some other people get that experience. I have had, and usually get rows 1-5, but if I go to more than one show I see the same 5 people dead center every show, why not move them over a few seats(not back) and let some randomly chosen fans from any number range get a chance( a lottery for the that show)? Basing this on people who go to many many shows. I have done this (gone to multiples) and love getting close believe me. I enjoy having been around a long time, but I do think every once in a while if I were going to more than say 3 shows on that 4th 5th getting stuck a few rows back and letting some fresh faces up front too. I am not saying move me/whomever back to the farthest seats just maybe like 6-10 to let a few new people get the joy of being right in Ed's/Mike's/Jeff's/Stones grill.

General admission just sucks experience wise for a more than one time deal.

BY the way next tour I am going to take one lucky fan with me to a show in the midwest, all you have to do is get there. I'll have some sort of contest for fans with number past a certain range and assuming my tickets get a good seat the winner will get some good viewing with me,all assuming seniority stays in place. I want to help spread the jam---up close.

    You said it Jose!

You young people that complain about not getting good seats because of your age? I'll trade you my second row seats anyday for your youth. PM me if you're interested.

well said with regards to taking someone with you. i have been in the club since 93 and on two occasions i went to a "not so good seat" and simply traded seats with the person. it was good to see the excitement on their face when they realized where they would be sitting.

Interesting, im not a 10c member, I was going to become one when they release a new album. Its not that i dont want to become 1 its that my noney could be going to bills and things.

I totally understand that the better tickets go to the longer serving members, which is fair enough, but i was kinda hoping in my selfish but trying not to be selfish that they just drew the tickets out of a hat.

I'm going to have to sign up now so i can beat some other ppl. How many 10c tickets does an average concert have?

theses days in the US, apparently 10%

in Europe that was 300 last year, and probably 500-600 this year, Wembley excepted of course (there was definitely way more this year, which is why the queues started so much earlier..last year you could show up in the afternoon and still be easily on the barrier..I wish 10c was telling us how many tickets there are)
  • I have not been a member here when the band has been touring in my area, so I'm not sure how it works when they do.

Are the members here that have been members longer, eligible for better concert seats somehow? If so, how does that work?

    Thanks for your replies!

Another Vancouver PJ fan. Who would have thought?! :)

Wish it was the same here. If I could find a group of fans here in Nova Scotia (Halifax, Bedford, Dartmouth, Sackville) to hang out with that love the music I like and talk hours on end (well somewhere's around that time frame .. but the hanging out would be cool). Can't find them here. :(

Why do you think it's unfair? You wouldn't think that if you had been a member since '92 :)

What do you mean. That person makes complete sense. Why shouldn't someone that just joined the fan club get a better seat over someone who's been in it for longer.

i'm 170K and couldn't have been happier in grand rapids in '06 when they made the mistake and put the10club seating backwards.

little justice for those of us who've spent just about as much as others who may have gotten 6 months earlier than we did and are too lazy to let their membership go so i can sit closer all the time. (please note...sarcasm alert).
