No... We need government subsidized programs to be responsible for you. We're all pretty aware that the average Joe isn't intelligent enough to take care of himself. I'm frightened just talking about it."Sarcasm: intellect on the offensive"

a lot of people do set alarms. but when someone is doing a quantitative survey and asks if you have taken your pill at the exact same time for a whole month--there is bound to be numerous people who once in the span of a month missed the time by 5 or 30 minutes, which in reality is not a huge deal, but in the survey it seems like one.
with wrapping it up, i think some dudes do things that cause condoms to break easily. like not leaving a little space at the tip or choosing an incorrect size that makes it break, or slip off.if you wanna be a friend of mine

Ok, so let me put it this way.
76% (of the 54% who were using contraception) admitted it was used improperly. This means you can another 41% to the 46% who admitted they weren't using contraception at all. Therefore 87% of these women admitted that they essentially weren't using contraception. The only people we should try to get even with...

VictoryGin wrote:you know, for someone who is anti-abortion, i'd think you'd want to try to prevent them. why not develop a contraceptive that is highly effective and something you don't have to take at the same time every day?
I'm not against developing a more effective contraception. I'm just against people claiming ignorance when they should figure out how to use it no matter how difficult it is before they depend on it.The only people we should try to get even with...

this is the sad truth. most americans are ignorant idiots. i think we need to do away with schools and go back to trades and apprenticeships for most people. then have a basic life skills class that teaches the morons how to apply a condom, how to balance a checkbook, how to budget, how to pay your bills...
THAT is what's pathetic.0 -

I believe we should just use the Wal-Mart approach here and blame the drug companies. If these guys are holding women's hands while they're taking their pills, then what purpose do they really serve other than making obscene profits?"Sarcasm: intellect on the offensive"

1) You could be right, dependin gon how the survey was conducted..but it looks bad the way it was reported...very bad
2) If they cared, they'd know how to put it on properly before using them...it's that they don;t care...it's because they can get away with it, and I think part of that is because we give all of the responsibility and all of the power to the woman when they get pregnant.
If you can't put a condom on properly, you are too stupid to be having sex.hippiemom = goodness0 -

frankly i don't think it looks bad, but that's because i know what the pill is like. it seems really easy for people to criticize when they don't have a clue. i'm not necessarily talking about you here, in case you think that. i wouldn't want to make that bad day worse.
i say we should develop better contraceptive methods for men and women.if you wanna be a friend of mine

Abortion is a very hard topic to discuss as its not a black and white topic, there is some grey area. However if a woman undergoes an abortion, shouldn't it at least be mandatory for her (and her partner) be at the least heavily encouraged to be taught about the various conctraceptive methods and how to use them correctly? if someone is armed with this information and still ends human life then that is inexusable IMO.The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?
Feels like were all alone
Running further from what’s right
And there are no more heroes to follow
So what are we becoming?
Where did we go wrong?0 -

If we put more effort into comprehensive sex ed before that point, the number of abortions would decrease as a result of the of the decrease in the number of unwanted pregnancies.
Of course, in the end, if a woman is fully informed on the contraceptive options available to her and still decides to have an abortion, it's her legal right to do so."Of course it hurts. You're getting fucked by an elephant."0 -

Once the legal and moral objections to abortion are removed it's really just another form of birth control. It's use should be of no concerns to the public, and a private matter between a woman and her doctor. We really shouldn't be caring how many abortions a woman has any more than we care how many birth control pills she's taking. Or should we?“One good thing about music,

well, some people actually care about the women here. surgical abortion is a surgery, albeit a safer one when legal. with any surgery comes risks. it's not just another form of birth control. it's surgery (unless one seeks a medical abortion).if you wanna be a friend of mine
