Finally... the next time you utter that phrase, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend", remember how well it has worked out for us in the past. Maybe it's time to end this idiotic logic.
there was this great documentry shown recently on british tv about extreamism... not just muslim extreamism but extreamism arund the world from christianity to hinduism to bhuddism and jewdaism.
basically it came to a sub conclusion that we reap what we sow... the mughals (muslims) horribly surpressed the hindus in the 1500's-1700's. now hindus are horribly supressing muslims and a reason cited is the treatment of hindus by mughals..
as such western policy in the middle east has festered the climate we have today. now it certainly didnt start with the americans. the british and other european imperial powers started it all but its been taken on by the us.DOWNLOAD THE LATEST ISSUE OF The Last Reel: http://www.mediafire.com/?jdsqazrjzdt

I think the United States is involved in too many world issues as it is...it should step back and let people decide their own fate. They have a pretty shitty track record when it comes to that sort of thing.0 -

We have plenty of resources that could be helping any number of third world countries, to help them help themsleves. This marine diplomacy isn't really making the world all that safe.0 -
Commy wrote:It doesn't even have to be that...I mean...we can be involved, we just don't have to be in charge you know. No one country should be, that's why the UN should be gven the repect it deserves...the US is the primary obstacle to the UN functioning as a significant world player.

if you guys spent all the money you have put into wars in iraq/afghanistan, clean water could be brought to the majority of the 3rd world. could you imagin that? kids that grew up drinking clean water?! that would give the americans a billion times more good PR and generations of supporters in these countriesDOWNLOAD THE LATEST ISSUE OF The Last Reel: http://www.mediafire.com/?jdsqazrjzdt

if the third world would install electricity they could drink pepsi from their fridge.0 -

So, this entire non-story is based on hearsay. Wonderful.
You dont how much this one post says about people with your mindset. Amazing, but not suprising.0 -
I don't really see what's surprising. Pressuring countries in a physical or economic way has always been a reality for any powerful country (and I don't mean just the usa, but most occidental countries).
When pakistan joined usa in the war against terror the majority of the pakistani population was against this, so I guess pakistan didn't join usa just for the fun of it.
These threats happen, all the time. It's called diplomacy.0 -
I guess the threat was a pretty lame one at that! Not only did the States cough up some free fighter jets. But everybody and their mother know nothing at all has changed in Pakistan and they could well have the States number one fan living within their borders. Now if that don't put a smile on your face on a Friday, I don't know what will. You've changed your place in this world!0

You can dish it out, but you can't take it, huh? People such as you constantly criticize the US government and can't take anything that supports Bush or our foreign policy at face value. Then a story like this comes out of the Pakistani government, and it is instantly accepted as fact. That speaks volumes about people like you.0 -
lol..dilute the thread by confusion? It's not just accepted as fact, it's supported by everything else that has happened. I know amenesia is running rampent these days but try thinking back to the events that led up to the war, you will see that this makes sense. Coalition of the Willing, lol, right. Cant' take it? When you look at things without bias, you have nothing to lose.
Tell me something that supports Bush and what he has done. One thing.0 -

No actually, next time Osama tells them that the US is evil, they'll believe it and be the first to strap on a bomb.0 -

I have to agree...how did we get nominated saviour of the planet...personally, i'd like to see us send about 500k more troops to iraq, do a clean sweep of that shit hole, pull the hell out, leave em with a dirty sanchez, and dont give em a dime of aid, take care of pakistan and iran while we're pullin out, kick korea in the nuts on the way by and bring our boys home.
we will never get the job done over there until everybody here quits moaning and crying about civil rights. This war went down the shitter the first time they prosecuted a marine for threatening a prisoner with a barking dog.
and as far as pakistan...if they hadnt cooperated (if thats what you call it) then yes...back to the stone age you go! (should be a short trip)._____________________
