I'd rather have it be a surprise...wit the Dems I know it's coming, just not when, and I will worry about it 24 hours a day 7 days a week..freaking out,...waiting for it to happen. It ruins my entire day, every day.
ah, now you know what life has been like for me the last 6 years0 -
farfromglorified wrote:This is an excellent post. I'd very much like to see Republicans return to their political principles as well. Unfortunately, I doubt this will change anything. The positive changes I hoped for in the Democratic party did not happen in 94.
Both parties seem very content with running on the other's failures.
I definitely agree on that one. The goverment of this country is supposed to be for the people, by the people. Instead, it has become one corrupt member after another and the people are the ones paying for it. I guess corruption is one thing our government is bi-partisan on. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this exact type of government the reason we went to war with England in 1776?0 -
Dissapointed my friend, but not surprised at all
The people have to count and they clearly wanted change
And change is what they'll get
I'm not exactly crushed though - I was in favor of the Iraq war, but am extremely dissapointed in the way things have gone since we took overI'll keep taking punches
Untill their will grows tired0 -

There are probably 300 threads on the debate over the war - I'm probably in 25% of them , clearly stating my position.
This was supposed to be about our views on the Dems victory yesterday, and I'll choose to leave it at thatI'll keep taking punches

this is what I think will kill the dems. i'm afraid they could kill the economy. higher taxes kill everyone from consumer's spending habits to big business investment.0 -
Hey, if it gets the republicans back on conservative economics and off of morality great.
For years while they were out of power they whined about how they would streamline government.
For the last 12 they've done nothing but spend and spend and spend while growing the size and scope of government.
I voted libertarian, and I'm not sorry.
If anything the democrats elected may even be more fiscally responsible and that's saying something. My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0 -

The minority leader could wind up being Pence and Minority Whip being Shadegg. Not a bad leadership.0 -
Wow I didn't win one election or initiative that I voted for yesterday. I'm not sure the outcomes of the judges I voted for, but the senate, house, and initiatives were all loses.
I am a little depressed about it, but the people have spoken. I think the one issue I really care about social security reform is now completely dead. I'm going to say good luck to the Democrats. I hope they can get some things done, and not waste their time on issues like impeaching the President. A complete waste of everyone's time and effort.0 -

Or some redneck Meth addict living in a trailor park some where in Tennessee."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

i think it's good to know my lifestyle has to be run by you to make sure it's moral, when id rather you and all people like you were dead so i could live in peace. yet i dont always get what i want. isnt that unfair?0 -

Yeah, I would agree it was a waste of time to impeach Clinton in 98. Even though I thought it was warranted.0 -

I think fly is just curious whats going to happen now when Dubbya throws shit all over americans then tries to sell them the ointment to get rid of the flys. -"BM".Vedderlution_Baby! wrote:And let's not turn this into a insult/flame thread.
Fly isn't baiting you, he's (like myself) just curious to what you think
Lest I don't THINK he's baiting you. Fly's a cold blood killa though, so watch out. Matha Fucka was just talkin to me one day and this guy walked by and Fly was all like "BAM" and I was all like "What the fuck!?". I turned around and the dude was knocked out. I looked at Fly and was like "DDDDDUUUUUUUDDDDDDEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! What'd you do!?". He was all like "Dude. Matha fucka gave me the eye. I take none of that" I was like "Dude! what do you do to him?!" and Fly was like "I gave him my matha fuckin pimp slap. Faster than light and more deadly than a bomb."0 -

However, he was referring to someone taking governmental...ie.....the American people's $.
I think if you except tax $, you should not be able to just live by your own moral values anymore...you should have to meet minimal standards, etc...like illegal drug free...I know, I'm asking for the world here...hippiemom = goodness0
